Bout time I make a new thread! I just got home from seeing one of the all time Blues Greats perform! Buddy Guy! He's one of the few real original bluesmen left, one that has influenced many of the great guitarists, won 5 Grammy's, and is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! He's 70 some years old now, and he's still got it! The man could easily out play most guitarists around today. (Those who know me, understand that I do not arbitrarily or blindly say things like this without good reason!) I sold my 15" Xcon to a friend, in november IIRC. They stole it soon after in front of his house. He did not have any car alarm or dog ! Last week we found it for sale on a local website. But one of his "friend" bought it from the thief and told him so !! My friend did not want to be too hard, so he made a deal : they sell the sub and amp and they do 50/50 on the money. Instead of calling the Police or taking sub and amp for free in his hands ! (The actual owner has bought a Soundstream XXX 15" since, so he doesn't need the Xcon.) So here is a truely touching story from us SMD members. Now I know a lot of people dont care/ dislike SMD forums in every single way so I dont want this to be a pissing match, but you have to have the heart to read this story that made the news. A member on the forums "Nine8SST" has a daughter who has cerebral palsy and she has an expensive custom made bicycle that she cannot ride because her condition has progressed so much. Been on vacation for the past 3 weeks(I work a week on/ week off) and get back to work today to find that they have blocked all the good stuff on our company internet! Facebook, Youtube, pandora, photobucket, etc. For a normal job it wouldn't be so bad...but we LIVE here for a week at a time!
