This is part 2 of the enclosure deal with Quentin. As I posted earlier, the box came in, was built like a tank, and fit like a glove. Problem was I was waiting on some woofers. Well that is no longer a problem. 100lbs showed up. What had I gotten myself into? lol. It has been a slow process with my set up, mainly because I have not had too much free time and I had to do a little then tune a little, and after some wiring and phasing troubles, I got them hooked up and WOW! These woofers in this enclosure POUND! Not only do they pound, but they are very musical and sound great with rock and everything else I throw at them. It's hard to believe that such a big woofer can b…

Hey guys, I thought I’d drop a quick line and show you a project I was working on. This is a pretty basic build, nothing too special. All of these pictures are from inside of my house since I needed my amp to make final crossver adjustments if needed. I sold my Thiel CS 2.2's to fund this build. The drivers are: 8” Hi-Vi M8N magnesium/aluminum driver woofer, 3” Dayton dome mid, and Hi-Vi RT-1C planar tweeter. http://www.daberaudio.com/projectimages/back%20of%20drivers.jpg The crossovers are not yet soldered, but you can see the individual boards for the woofers, mids, and tweets. All parts are Jantzen, Dayton, and Mills. The cabinets are pretty sweet, though I …

As I mentioned in a previous post, I'm looking to sponsor a few competitors to help get the word out about Gnome Audio. If you think you'd like to be a part of the team, shoot me an email and we'll talk business. I have three levels of sponsorship. You must complete the first level before moving on to the second and so forth. Level 1 - Benefits: I will build your box at costs (no labor charge). You only pay for the cost of the materials and shipping. Requirements: You must compete in at least 4 major competition circut events (MECA, dB Drag, IASCA, NSPL, etc.) and show proof (score sheet) for each event. You must own and use a Gnome Audio enclosure for these competitions…

Hey everyone, I'm going to try putting my MAW12 in the back of my car and I'm going to try my hand at building at building a ported box and I'd prefer to make it a rectangular slot ported box for ease of construction. I can make it about a max of 650mm in width 350mm in height and any depth... I'm not concerned much about being able to use my boot for this and after I hear it I might make another box down the track. I'm going to stick to the recommended 51L @ 28Hz so can anyone help me on how long I have to make the port and what area it needs to have. I understand that the port itself detracts from the volume of the box but do I need to concern my self with the port bein…

I have one enclosure to finish this week if the customer is still willing to wait. I have recently started a job inspecting commodity grains, so I only have two days per week to do installs. Therefore I will only be able to build one enclosure per week. At the moment I have roughly 15 enclosure requests. Hopefully I will be able to get with these customers this week. If anyone has any questions and you can't get a hold of me. Post a thread here and if it is a common question like pricing(which I have posted) or a question about performance of a product, other members might be able to help before I am able to get back in touch with you. thanks, Quentin

I have a scion xb gen2. The cargo area is roughly 38Wx20Dx20H all in inches of course. The height can go higher if needed just trying to stick to the top of the seat line as possible. This would have to be a sub up port up box or else I would have to cut the depth down. Thanks.

I am starting to make diagrams for enclosures for both the 12 and the 15. I will make a sketch-up with a cut list for sealed and ported. I will list and optimum enclosure for a flat response, and a daily type enclosure with the typicical 3db boost around 35-45 hertz. What I need are some max measurements on typical trunks. List your max measurements. If need be I will do up several of each style.

So I got 2 questions about some subs here: 1. What size enclosures are people using for the SPL12? I guess it's almost like a poll but I just want to know. I have a feeling I can get more output out of mine (I'm looking more spl oriented) so I wanna know what everyone else is doing with them. 2. What's the realease date on the ixl-10's? I've been thinking about getting four of em and sending them 750rms each. Any input is appreciated!!

so, i will be looking into getting a box before the end of the year. and i was wondering how much for a box for 1 12" Kicker L7s (dual 2 ohm). they will be seeing 1200 watts total. im not to familiar with the box tuning and stuff.(kinda new to the car audio game) do you guys tune to a certain hz everytime? or to customers request? because i dont really know what it means to have a box "tuned to 32hz"... anyways, i would like a nice solid box. (double bafffle, bracing, 45's?... any of which would be needed/recomended.) and i also think i would like a kerfed port if you guys do that. i have a 1994 camry wagon. so space if plentiful. and one other question, do you make box…
