Just a teaser screen shot here. We've been working hard to get this done, to represent Skar Audio in terms of a website/web presence. What do you guys think so far... **could be spelling errors etc, this is first draft of site.

As I mentioned in a previous post, I'm looking to sponsor a few competitors to help get the word out about Gnome Audio. If you think you'd like to be a part of the team, shoot me an email and we'll talk business. I have three levels of sponsorship. You must complete the first level before moving on to the second and so forth. Level 1 - Benefits: I will build your box at costs (no labor charge). You only pay for the cost of the materials and shipping. Requirements: You must compete in at least 4 major competition circut events (MECA, dB Drag, IASCA, NSPL, etc.) and show proof (score sheet) for each event. You must own and use a Gnome Audio enclosure for these competitions…

Hello gnome (nickname for ya). anyways, I currently have a subzone pre-fabbed box from 4 yrs ago (before they started building QUALITY boxes) and i have a feeling it is DESTROYING my SQ on my new JL sub. I have never owned a JL sub so I can't say that I know exactly what it should sound like but I know it shouldn't sound like a SPL sub (like my old audiobahns). Just curious if the box isthe culprit and if so, then I am at the right place =) BTW, the jl sub askes for 1.25 cu ft sealed. But I want to go ported because I hear its a MUST! I have no idea about the frequency or even how its measured. I hear that lower freq. means SQ and higher freq. means SPL. is this true? W…

This should be a happy medium for anyone looking for a ported enclosure for two 12's specs are as follows. 3.6 cubic feet net. (taking in consideration for two typical high end 12's) 54.24" of port tuned to 32 hertz 38" wide x 16" tall x 18.75" deep Enclosure will come with two heavy duty terminal cups, high nap charcoal carpet, heavy gauge speaker wire, a new technique I am using to add color to the port and baffle, and most importantly adequate packaging to insure no damage will occure during shipment. Not sure if this is the best place to put this... I'm on a few other forums and I know in the past vendors have had some killer Black Friday sales. They usually last for like two days so a lot of peeps get in on it. Do the vendors here ever do that? Last year I saved $200 on suspension parts that I thought I'd never get and this year its time for an audio upgrade. If there's none here does anyone know of any sweet ones?

So I got 2 questions about some subs here: 1. What size enclosures are people using for the SPL12? I guess it's almost like a poll but I just want to know. I have a feeling I can get more output out of mine (I'm looking more spl oriented) so I wanna know what everyone else is doing with them. 2. What's the realease date on the ixl-10's? I've been thinking about getting four of em and sending them 750rms each. Any input is appreciated!!

I will not be doing any new enclosures till May or June of this year. I am waiting on some prototypes for a line of subwoofers I will have availiable this fall, and will be very busy getting them off the ground. And to keep up with production of custom enclosures and the pre-engineered enclosures I will be offering I am going to purchase a CNC router. So as soon as I get everything in order I will begin taking orders again. I will however be around and if anyone has any question about anything shoot me an e-mail or give me a call.

This is part 2 of the enclosure deal with Quentin. As I posted earlier, the box came in, was built like a tank, and fit like a glove. Problem was I was waiting on some woofers. Well that is no longer a problem. 100lbs showed up. What had I gotten myself into? lol. It has been a slow process with my set up, mainly because I have not had too much free time and I had to do a little then tune a little, and after some wiring and phasing troubles, I got them hooked up and WOW! These woofers in this enclosure POUND! Not only do they pound, but they are very musical and sound great with rock and everything else I throw at them. It's hard to believe that such a big woofer can b…

Hey guys, I thought I’d drop a quick line and show you a project I was working on. This is a pretty basic build, nothing too special. All of these pictures are from inside of my house since I needed my amp to make final crossver adjustments if needed. I sold my Thiel CS 2.2's to fund this build. The drivers are: 8” Hi-Vi M8N magnesium/aluminum driver woofer, 3” Dayton dome mid, and Hi-Vi RT-1C planar tweeter. http://www.daberaudio.com/projectimages/back%20of%20drivers.jpg The crossovers are not yet soldered, but you can see the individual boards for the woofers, mids, and tweets. All parts are Jantzen, Dayton, and Mills. The cabinets are pretty sweet, though I …

Hey everyone, I'm going to try putting my MAW12 in the back of my car and I'm going to try my hand at building at building a ported box and I'd prefer to make it a rectangular slot ported box for ease of construction. I can make it about a max of 650mm in width 350mm in height and any depth... I'm not concerned much about being able to use my boot for this and after I hear it I might make another box down the track. I'm going to stick to the recommended 51L @ 28Hz so can anyone help me on how long I have to make the port and what area it needs to have. I understand that the port itself detracts from the volume of the box but do I need to concern my self with the port bein…
