Which amp are you planning on now? Hifonics makes a lot of crappy amps.. Have you thought about two 8's possibly? The Ascendant Audio line makes a bunch of great sounding subs.

It happens, yes. The channels each have their own circuitry. Wouldn't be unusual for there to be a bad component in only one channel. I would think that both channels having problems would be unusual unless the problem was the power supply.

Well here are some pictures of my install so far. Thanks too Chris at fisher customers for the box design. I just got the 220 amp alt put on ($192.92 from the ford dealer cause its in a 2005 ford escape and down on the back side of the motor took them 3hr $60/hr RIP OFF'S) and now have my 2 optima red tops installed. I put the box in to see how it sounds and wow its pretty loud. Can't wait till they break in a little more they are still really stiff but slam. Hopefully this week end i can build the amp rack and switch out the mtx amp with my jl 300/4. And start the trim panels. <a href="http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=4…

yeahh i wasnt gonna hook it up anyway lol yeah thanks.. im leaning towards doing that since i want it to last for a few years, but still can hit it Hard! Eventually i want to upgrade to the BTL with new electrical not for a while lol will 1200 RMS still pump the BL Hard? thnx for your help man oh yeah that will be perfect for the BL. i heard the same setup a 15 BL in a trunk where the seats don't fold down and it was loud Alright ! yeahh mine will be in the trunk.. my seats do fold down.. i just want this setup to be noticeably louder than my 2 12" MTX Jackhammers in a sealed box, each only getting about 250 RMS. Think it will be ?

Power handling is install deL and throw 1200 RMS at it at 2 Ohms. Ported box with my capacitor and in the summer going to do the Big 3 upgrade just want it to be noticeably louder than my current 2 12" MTX Jackhammers that are getting 250 RMS each. In a sealed box The BL is the right choice for that, maybe a good agm battery instead of the cap. Do the big 3 as soon as you can. well im looking at running it with the cap and big 3 ASAP,, and when i have a little more spare money im gonna do the yellow top battery instead of the cap

  22. Yawn. I am going to start a forum pool so people can place bets on how long it takes you to screw that XCON up before you get a box, much less a car.

http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...?showtopic=7116 With one battery, stock alt (about the same as the Civic in output), 1510 watts @ 12.4 volts. With another battery, stock alt, 1635 watts @ 12.8 volts. So... between 1500 and 1600 watts or so, give or take a few percentage --- This battery fits in the newer Civic (this is mine). Only have to notch the battery tie-down, literally, that is ALL you need to do:
