Dude that sounds like it. Can anything be done with out having to recone it, besides turning the volume down. I'm glad to hear it is the only one with the problem. When I was running only 1500 watts, it wasn't an issue. Still have not popped a 100 amp fuse with my Sundown 3000. Mainly because with the bottoming out of the BTL I cannot turn it up because I want the music to remain clear. I need my 18s like yesterday. I can tell this sub has more to give along with the amp because of how much headroom I have. Kinda frustrating since I really want to crank this baby up. Funny thing is, everyone else is still blown away. Me dreaming Havocs. Thanks for the info. Joe

Here is what full clipping sounds like. Use this function generator. Listen to a 60Hz sine wave (unclipped) and then listen to a 60Hz square wave (this is full clipping). This is a gross example, but you wanted to know what clipping can sound like.... http://www.marchandelec.com/fg.html

I was wondering if you offer enclosure blueprints? I can build just about anyhting, just can't design worth a crap for some reason. If you do, here is what I got and need: Vehicle: 1989 Chevy Astro cargo van Subs: 4 SoundStream SPLX-154 quad 1ohm 15" subs HxWxL available for enclosure: Well, pretty much a wall, but. 46" high x 48" wide x up to 60" deep (doubt I'll ever need a box that deep unless I go with a tunnel). Power to subs: SoundStream XXX-6500d at 1ohm on 16volts. Tuning: 35 to 37Hz. What used for: Bass Race 140-149.9 or higher class as well as daily driver. Design does not have to be extravagant just get loud, look decent, and sound good. I pretty much like the …

You'd probably want to go with about 1cf per driver tuned around 35hz. I'll figure the box up as common chamber. The port is a 2x12 slot, 16 inches long. This occupies about 0.25cf counting the MDF used for one of the port walls (we'll have the port against one side of the box, and between the top and bottom, so only one port wall has to be constructed). So, we're going to want a total of about 2.5cf before woofer and port displacement. Our external dimensions will be 13.5H x 33W x 19.5D. So internally, the dimensions for the woofer are 12H x 28W x 18D. This is because the port and port wall take up 3.5" on one side. On the other side we have the other wall of the box. W…
