  1. He had it under his other company name and then some scamming issues went down. Bad rep is probably why he changed to this name.

  2. So what's the deal here? It's obvious these are one in the same and you've already ruffled quite a few feathers on some other boards.

  3. This looks really, really similar to the Subtilis VVX on caraudio.com. I think you stole their sub mang. VVX-12 Presale 3 Day Special! Enclosure Included 600RMS Woofer /sarcasm

  4. How will you integrate the mounting stud into the enclosure since you have to use them when mounting the sub the way you are?

  6. Due to time restraints Audibel Customs is closing its doors. Over the past year I have been outsourcing the expertise of Dan Wiggins to create a quality line of high performance subwoofers that can be offered at a very reasonable price point. This dream of mine is soon to become a reality. So however I will no longer offer custom built enclosures I plan in the very near future, that SSA will be the official forum for Pinnacle Acoustics.

PM send, So what do you think julian is around $650 enough for a reasonable system, including the HU? And the mtx at my first post are they any good? They are only around 60 bucks so atleast the price is good. Or what subs do you recommend, including an amp? Because i cant figure out what amp i need with a sub. (If you got two 350w rms subs (4 ohm), do you need an amp with 4 ohm 700w rms x 1ch. or 350w rms x 2ch. or doesnt it work this way?) I think im gonna go for these subwoofers: http://www.rondevries.nl/index.php?page=producten_bekijken/detail.php&product_nr=17960&hoofdgroep=8&subgroep=120 But what amp do you recommend to go with 2 of these? Is this one …

  12. I think that's fairly fitting and indicative of the attitude you've taken during your tenure as owner of Second Skin. I'm glad to see you'll no longer be formally associated with the company. I'm going to guess the various car audio forums you own were the beginnings of your "media empire", it's unfortunate that you won't be exiting those as well. By the way, I seem to recall you stated in a (now deleted) thread on CA.com that the company wasn't for sale, until someone posted a link, then you vanished from that conversation. Interesting. Good riddance. Hey, maybe we could even look into adding a subforum for another deadening company on SSA now as well!

  19. my truck is a 2003 GMC 2500HD Crew Cab Duramax Diesel SLT, i plan on getting to 40s rear seats instead of the 60/40 seat combo therefore giving me room in between the two seast for a decent sized box that can be built on top of or around the lower custom installed sealed box for 10in vocal subs once im directed where to to go to buy the best 10in vocal speakers out since i have no clue as far as SQ or vocals. But anyways my box builder said he can fit anything i want and have it ported and tuned, therefore this is where i need the main help, wat sub or subs should i go with, and further more wats best amp/sub combo for ur choice of sub, These just couple of my ideas on …

  22. I am just not a fan of expecting such a small speaker to provide such a dynamic range. I guess it is more a personal preference, but I would never do it. Sure, tuning will be much easier, but the reality of the situation is that a 3 way will work better. As the small driver is pulling such a high workload from the lower register, reaching a fairly high excursion and realizing a rise in Qts where Bl is becoming markedly more parabolic, you are demanding the driver to perform such delicacies as the harmonics or decay from a cymbal crash... it is just not a recipe for good sound quality. I personally feel with all the work J is putting into it, he will be able to get it tune…

  23. Started by MHayes,

Thank you. I've always wondered the same thing. It sure seems like a strange business model if you ask me. Why is the dealer listing such a secret? I bought an Atlas 12 and an Arsenal 12 from Chad during their presales so I'm a longtime AA fan. I also bought a pair of their poly mids. Because then you get people trying to play the price game and call dealers outside of their territory..or outside of their area...which keeps the shops from being able to make their money to swim. The line is there for shops and shops only. If you have a shop within a reasonable driving distance of where you live, then you must purchase through them. There is absolutely no reason to have a…
