I am trying to determine whether or not to get the "Heat Ring" option for my FI Q 12". It says it is supposed to help lower inductance and help overall transient response, but not sure if I should get it or not. Anyone have more knowledge on this than me or previous experiences? Thanks

Not sure if this is the right section for this, but I don't know where else to put it. *****or w/e his screen handle is...does anyone know him? I sent him $145 for a Kinetik last Thursday and he called me on Monday to say he'd recieved the MO I sent him. I saw he has a ton of references on CA.com so I figured he was ok to buy from.. Its been 2 days, I haven't heard from this guy...and he wont return messages or phone calls. Now I have $145 wrapped up in this guy with nothing to show for it... I don't know what to do.. edit: name edited since the request to close the topic

What type of saw do you use when cutting a sheet of mdf? Also what type of blade do you have on your saw? Would a carbide tip blade on a skillsaw work? I'll be using a skillsaw to cut my sheet of mdf into a couple of smaller pieces, so that I can fit it into my work area where my table saw is, which also has a carbide tip blade on it.. does this sound ok to you? Thanks, -Marcus

I've got some links for you First up, become familiar with http://www.t-linespeakers.org. They've got a bunch of subwoofer projects, and it's pretty much a required read if you're interested about these things...also, Martin J King's site at http://www.quarter-wave.com has a bunch of projects for you to look at. I hope this is for home use or a large SUV/cargo van, because T-lines and trunks don't mix for 12" subs.

Unlike most internet companies I prefer to speak with my customers in person or over the phone. This way no one sits and waits and wonders if I recieved their message. If I am online feel free to ask a question on the forum, but the fastest way to contact me is over the phone. I can be reached 9am though 8pm central standard time 7 days a week. My cell is (985)630-9442 if I don't answer I am probally working on a vehicle but I will respond quickly normally with a few minutes or an hour. At the moment I do accept all major credit card but will have paypal set up in a few days. Before I recieve any funds from a customer I will speak to them over the phone, then send an …

Imagine that. Just a little fyi. ANY time management class will teach you that the "I'm too busy" means "It's not important to me" and its always the case. If its truly important you prioritize differently.

All of my boxes have rounded edges and I always use screws Just set the bit depth accordingly and have the bit bearing only on sides where you don't have screws. What he said .. Use screws, why waste the time glueing and coming up with ways to not use them just to have the box come apart . I have seen plenty of glued and brad nailed boxes come loose. You should be able to router the edges just fine

Yup. I just don't see the infatuation with wanting to modify production drivers. Some ideas may sound great in your head. I think the design engineer knows best though. . nG Yeah, you're right. I'm glad Fi doesn't offer any "options". dick. Do you also go by ibanender on splbassx? You guys would probably LOVE to get together and circle jerk. (he's ALMOST as big an ass as you.)
