I know this question has been posted before all over, but many of the discussions just turn into b***hfests, and no straight good answer is given. Would stuffing (polyfill etc...), or lining (vibration damper, mlv, etc...) a properly sized and well built box make any difference on the sound quality/characteristics of the subwoofer it contains? I'm looking for one good answer please, not a million random opinions. My head is just in a daze after looking at how many odd forum posts that don't answer the question I'm posing. Thanks to anyone who has good knowledge on this topic!

Damn I wish I would of checked back earlier I probly would of bought the FC box, but anyways I got a New box coming in tommorow (2.5 cu.ft. after woofer displacement tuned to 31hz). My current box is about 3 ft. after displacment tuned to 39hz.(i know it sucks) The dcons are pretty loud right now but I know i've been missing out on some powerfull low end. What kind of differecnces can I expect from my new box, I know it will hit the lows and sound alot better, but will I lose some volume because it's smaller or will it be even louder?

  8. I will not be doing any new enclosures till May or June of this year. I am waiting on some prototypes for a line of subwoofers I will have availiable this fall, and will be very busy getting them off the ground. And to keep up with production of custom enclosures and the pre-engineered enclosures I will be offering I am going to purchase a CNC router. So as soon as I get everything in order I will begin taking orders again. I will however be around and if anyone has any question about anything shoot me an e-mail or give me a call.

I'm looking for the best overall SQ and SPL, a good balance. I'm only getting one sub cus I don't really have the space for 2. But I'm getting a custom box built around 2.0 cu ft. Tuned around 33hz. I have a Rockford 1000bd-1 (birthsheet 1373rms at 14.4v) . Wired to 1 ohm. Don't say Fi Bl just because your a Fi fan, I need to know which sub is better. THanks

  10. You gave me a quote on a 12"xcon box sent to my house. Now ive been thinking about trying to do the 15". The space available is 36"w x16"h x 18" d sub up port back . Can you make a box to fit that and give me as close to the 4cubes needed and tune it to 32hz. Can go a little bit more on the height and depth if needed.

so basically i set the sub sonic to 33 Hz since that is what im planning on tuning the box to. and it will make it so the sub doesn't hit frequencies that will hurt it. right?

sealed enclosure guessing? after just looking at a pic of your engine the alternator looks pretty easy to get to. So it should be relatively easy. just these three steps alternator to positive side on battery engine block to neg and neg to chassis

Hey guys, I thought I’d drop a quick line and show you a project I was working on. This is a pretty basic build, nothing too special. All of these pictures are from inside of my house since I needed my amp to make final crossver adjustments if needed. I sold my Thiel CS 2.2's to fund this build. The drivers are: 8” Hi-Vi M8N magnesium/aluminum driver woofer, 3” Dayton dome mid, and Hi-Vi RT-1C planar tweeter. http://www.daberaudio.com/projectimages/back%20of%20drivers.jpg The crossovers are not yet soldered, but you can see the individual boards for the woofers, mids, and tweets. All parts are Jantzen, Dayton, and Mills. The cabinets are pretty sweet, though I …

Huh? The WMD is NOT an AA driver. I'd change your order why you still can, the PAP drivers are way over hyped for what they are.

Alright, I've got good news and bad news. Bad news - the belt for my table saw was out of stock and had to be ordered. It will not be in until WEDNESDAY ( F*&^*) and no progress will be made until that belt is on. Ultimate frustration.....I'm just dying to hear this thing. Good news - I'm going to go ahead and post photos of..... Daber Audio ""SQL"" 12 DVC prototype Here it is Does anyone in Central Illinois have a nice table saw that they will let me use to expedite this build?
