Dude that sounds like it. Can anything be done with out having to recone it, besides turning the volume down. I'm glad to hear it is the only one with the problem. When I was running only 1500 watts, it wasn't an issue. Still have not popped a 100 amp fuse with my Sundown 3000. Mainly because with the bottoming out of the BTL I cannot turn it up because I want the music to remain clear. I need my 18s like yesterday. I can tell this sub has more to give along with the amp because of how much headroom I have. Kinda frustrating since I really want to crank this baby up. I just picked up a pair of MTX Thunder TA81001D amps, and according to the engineers at MTX there is no way to disable the subsonic filter or bypass the built in EQ in the pre-amp board (which is a crock). The TA92001, TE4001, and TE1501 units all have a button to bypass all of this garbage, but no such button exists on the TA81001. If you take the pre-amp board out, you can clearly see a spot on the board for the bypass switch - Labeled as "S102". MTX refuses to give me a schematic or instructions on what needs to be jumpered, removed, etc. to eliminate the EQ and Subsonic filter pieces. I'm about to tear into it myself, but figured I would ask here first. If anyone has …

Need to replace my starting battery on a 1999 chevy s10 blazer.Whats a good replacement to keep up with around 1600 watts. It needs to be able to match up with a second battery in back if i decide to add one. If there is not a big deal i was just going to put in a die hard gold and be done,but want any imfo/help before spending money.

Then you'd have a BTL ..if BTL slugs were used. We're not going to do 3 slugs on the BL's, it yields no more motor strength and there's no sense in doing it in a high xmax coil... Goal with the BL is basically a cheaper alternative to the BTL, and it sounds like that you want a BTL to me .

They've got a bunch of subwoofer projects, and it's pretty much a required read if you're interested about these things...also, Martin J King's site at http://www.quarter-wave.com has a bunch of projects for you to look at. I hope this is for home use or a large SUV/cargo van, because T-lines and trunks don't mix for 12" subs.
