I recently purchased a 12" Q powered by a hifonics 1206D at 1 ohm. its in a 2.87 cube box tuned (according to my cabin) to 25Hz. its in a 96 4 door blazer. up front i have dayton classic midbass, dayton reference midrange, audax tweets powered by a couple cheap amps (until i can afford a quality 6ch amp) and my crossover is an old PPI frx-456. HU is kenwood excelon kdx-589. using knukonceptz klarity kables for main RCA's and dayton audio rca's from the crossover to the amps. 1/0 wire all around, even big three. i love my Q. it blends so well with the rest of the components. and so looooooooow

Soooo, if you had 2 ~9 oz. Sirloins in your fridge how would you cook them if you didn't want to just grill them? Obviously there are a lot of ways I'm just curious to get some random recipe from someone and try it out

Changed my mind, I want to do a middle T-shaped port now. Here are the new specs and diagrams. 3.65cf net per driver, which is within Fi's range of 3-5. Port area is 16.41 in^2 per cf, above the 12-16 recommended by Fi because there are TWO drivers sharing the same port. Modeling with WinISD puts port velocity within the range of the 23-30 m/s I'm seeing with Fi's recommended enclosures, so I think port area OK. Also, I'm going to be using a Sundown SAZ-3500D, so I'll be running with 3500 watts at least, not 3200 as in the thread title. Opinions please before I potentially waste a LOT of money on materials? I cannot change the outer dimensions, that is the max I can possi…

Which amp are you planning on now? Hifonics makes a lot of crappy amps.. Have you thought about two 8's possibly? The Ascendant Audio line makes a bunch of great sounding subs.
