So my friend with an 04 Ion RL wants a sub, and he wants it to fit in a sonotube, and have a pair of PVC ports come out the back, and along the bottom. We'll router out end plates that will act as supports for the sonotube/port, giving it a nice, finished kinda look. As for box sizes, the max we can fit is about 24" depth, which gives me about 1.4cf net driver volume. 4" PVC ports of course. 400 watts RMS off a JL e1400 amp. I'm thinking about tuning it to 35hz, which gives me a good balance between low end extension, bump, and port length (my biggest enemy right now, at 35hz they need to be 33" long). Anybody else have experience with these subs ported? Thanks

We've talked several times, perhaps you'd recognize my e-mail, [email protected] Got it. Not having real names on the forums gets me. Did you set the gains like our last e-mail? Based on this latest bit of information I would try a different RCA cable too if I were you if you are still having an issue. I turned the gains down like you said, down to 36 I think and was very dissapointed with the output, I didn't get a chance to see if they kept going in protect though. I took the amps out soon after. I am building a new box and paneling it all off right now though so they aren't in. I ordered some KnuKnoceptz RCAs to see if it will help, also bought a few fans…

Just trying to keep people in the loop. I have been getting a lot of e-mails from people nervous they are going to miss out on this deal. If for some reason I haven't responded to any of your e-mails please call me on the phone. It is listed on my sig. As long as I hear from you by Friday in one form or another you will still be eligiable for the free enclosure deal. As of today I have eight clients with enclosures built and waiting to be wrapped and shipped out. All these will be shipped out by Tuesday at the latest, I think Monday is a holiday. As soon as these enclosures are packed and picked up by UPS I will begin working on the other sketch-ups for others interest…

I had an idea a few weeks back. Shipping has always been a huge concern of mine. Its not so much the weight of the enclosures that's a factor, but rather the bulk. A medium sized box shipped to california is at least $60, which is a cost I'm forced to pass on to the customer. Packaging enclosures is also an important issue. According to UPS guidelines, I have to packgage each box with corrugated cardboard and seal it up with mailing tape. Packaging enclosures is a costly and time consuming process, which again is an expense that gets passed on to the customer. My idea is to sell the boxes as kits. Each kit would include everything you need to assemble a subwoofer box. A…

  17. My trunk is around 12.5 cubes. I can fit either 1 or 2 12's on the baffle board. 1200 watts RMS is what I'm working with. What do you guys think? Also, do these setups still hit low and loud?

I have two boxes right now that have been returned for credit by their original purchasers. Both are in perfect condition and I'm offering them for less than they originally sold for. The first is a 1.5 sealed box for a single 12". It's built to the ED O series specs on ED's website and has a large cup terminal. I will let this one go for $50+shipping. The second is a 4.5 cuft duel-tuned ported box for 2 12's. The first port is tuned to 62hz with MASSIVE port area for SPL comps and the included plug changes the tuning to 34hz for daily use. This box also includes a large cup terminal. I will sell both box and port plug with all required mounting hardware for $130+shipping…
