Randy and everyone else, As you know this thread has been one hell of a roller coaster, mostly a crazy downhill roller coaster. Randy, unfortunately after trying to figure out what we are going to do with your 16v setup, there is no possible way to get those alternators internally regulated and charge at 16v. The XS VCM doesn't work with these alternators. I sat and tried to get the VCM to work with no luck. We think it has to do with our alternators being 6 phase versus a 3 phase unit (this throws the frequency off on the alternator versus what the VCM is used to seeing). So this throws off how the VCM interacts with the regulator. Again, this is just speculation on the …

unless you run into problems with the coil heating up and the ohm load going up to the point were the sub gets less power ... I dont see how you would not be able to tell the gain from the extra 1000 watts... its a btl.... Just dont play it to high < aka over heating coils and dont play it to low < snapping lead wires... I seen alot of people run 3k to the triple stack btl's and the style before the neo's say what you want but alot of people are doing it... and there subs dont even get hot...

I had them in my jeep srt8 for a few months with about 300 rms on each. Sold the jeep in the summer of 08. Went threw a horrible divorce. Put them in my closet and just plumb forgot about them. Will ebay buyers even have a clue what these things are, lol I'll also post them in this classified section and the other large forum's classifieds section.
