I have 2 15" BTL's and 2 bix2600d hi fonic amps. None of these products have been pushed to the max because they are loud either way. Taylor if you are really serious and just waiting for pics, I'd feel pretty darn good about buying anything from Jacob. If there were truly issues he wouldn't sell it to you period. I bet if it was way worse than you thought he would let you cancel as well. The Sundown will power the CA's and any tweet you pair them with really well, you also won't even need the cap I recommended on the tweet before since it would be built in. Considering there are crossovers it could open up your driver selection a bit as well. Great amp, great deal, great guy to do business with.

Thanx for the replie, my problem is I have 16 8ohm subs so I can either run strapped at 2ohm or run like a 3000D at .5 ohm and even though I keep reading they can handle it I am not a big fan of running at .5ohm dailey, especially since here in Vegas it is between 115 and 120 degrees for 3 months out of the year. I currently have 300 watts to my subs and my goal for the system is 150 and right now I am sitting at 149.7 so I don't need alot of power to get there thats why I was hoping for 3500 watts strapped at 2ohm. Again thanx for the reply. Tom

I had some PHY 21s and piezos for about 3 months (they were on loan). I had them in an open baffle set up and found them to be quite enjoyable. My first experience with them was about 7 years ago from Ocellias Tillia speakers. They were an incredible setup with rather interesting cabinets. The engineer had told me a lengthy story about violin makers and his passion for them and how he took that into his speaker/cabinet designs. I had expected them to be sonically inert like most high end cabinets... but they were about as thin and flimsy as you could possibly make them. But... this was the key to the sound and the resonances of the cabinet were tuned for the overall…

A guy I work with has (2) 12" Hifonics Brutus in a sealed box. He said he would give them to me for $60.00, do you think this is a good deal? I have not seen them yet, he will be bringing them in tomorrow. I am not to concerned with how they will sound. I will be getting my new setup in September so basically they will be used in the mean time. Onlinecarstereo.com has them for 119.00 Ea., I am thinking that I may even be able to sell them for a profit when i am thru with them. I know I said I dont care how they sound, BUT have any of you guys heard them? What would you compare them with?
