I know I have a thread in Off topic about this meet but, I thought more people would see this if I put it in Announcements. June 20th (Saturday) will be a Central Texas meet in San Marcos at the McCoys headquarters. If yall are interested or have any questions pm me and I will give you my phone number to contact me at. Lets try to get as many people as we can...If you guys have any suggestions as to meet or what you were wanting to do then post em up. I was thinking we would meet, have lunch or not and just chill while listening to music and checkin out each others rigs while were in the zone.

Oh boy, where to begin. 1/2" enclosures are not the best. Having two different sized enclosures is pretty ghetto and not ideal for sound reproduction at all. How do you have the subs wired to the amp? Since those subs are 4 ohm SVC, however you have it wired to that 2 channel amp is not ideal. Does this setup sound good at all? You need a fuse about a foot from the battery under the hood if you don't have one already.

but, don't worry if you haven't paid for your woofer yet. As long I have spoken to you through e-mail or over the phone you will be locking in on the price. Also once the deal ends anyone who purchases any subwoofer from me will recieve an enclosure at half off my normal listed pricing. This will be the standard and will never expire.

A few weeks ago, I saw a post where some guy down on bayou was offering to build a free enbclosure to get his workmanship out here for everyone to see. The catch was I had to buy the woofas from him. Well, since I can buy the SSA xcon for the same price from him that I can buy in the shop and the xcon was a woofa I was looking at, I didnt see any reason not to take this deal so I sent him an email before he sobered up and changed his mind. As for Quentin, communication was excellent during the entire process. He kept me updated through out the entire process. Not once did I have to wonder what progress he was making. His Dad took sick and he thought enough about me and my…

He means that if you got in the first pre-sale, then you'll get your amps, but he sold the whole lot of them. So now he's doing a "round 2" so to speak. You should be getting your amp though if you got your order in in time.

Well Quentin, things aren't looking so good for squeezing that XCON 15 in my Malibu. I have measured and measured and it would appear that the opening to my trunk is too d**n small for 3.5 cube box ( I calculated 5.3 cubes external : 16.75 x 32 x 17 ported and tuned at roughly 30hz with external flare, double baffle and bracing is added). Inside the trunk there is plenty of room but they made the lid so narrow it appears I have no way to squeeze it in. Will it play in a small sealed box well enough or should I just port a 12. Remember that I am looking for them deep throaty notes to really shine (similiar to them old round solo-barics, just louder. Or is their a bette…

You know, before you raise a BS flag and tell someone they don't what they are talking about, maybe you should know a few things. I have been designing and building solid state and tube amplifiers form scratch since I worked for Audioprism in the early 90s. I have designed and built over 10 amplifiers, from scratch... I have been using test equipment for decades. I am an active duty Air Force E-7 select who has been a radio and RF systems technician for the past 12 years. I have built over 200 loudspeakers. I design and build RF amplifiers as a side hobby. Here is a picture of my last amplifer, built from scratch....

Unless the driver has a Q of around .01 and it is below a few Hz, they can't reproduce a squarewave without ringing and are never really at rest... I guess it is interpretation of what rest is beyond this point... jw 2 + 2, did you actually read the results of clipping test?
