IF they are overrated they arent THAT overrated. I hear if you have the newer amps with the "80" fuses they put out pretty close...i have my Hifonics 1606D powering my Fi Q 15 to the MAXX. And i have my gain set to 3/4 to avoid clipping, but its still putting out AT LEast 1000 watts instead of 1200 at 3/4 gain

I have the Optimas and they are nice, but they do not have big AH numbers so you would need a bunch of them. Look at Deka or XS Power and get one big one. If I had it to do over again that is what I would do. Ive got (2) Kicker CVR Aluminized 12"s in a sealed box at the moment. I'm looking to build a ported box for them. Very little space in my trunk though, after replacing the POS factory Bose 6x9s. They hang down a little lower than expected, and also to note my torsion bar broke off the spot weld. I need some box dimensions along with ports and what not. I have a width=35" height=15". 1) My amps work fine un-strapped but go into protection when strapped and/or my amps are stuck in protection. - 3/8/07 I have had three customers with this complaint. All three of them replaced their RCA cables to remedy the problem.
