On my homepage as well as the forum I'm going to highlight a new product each month. Many of these products may be new items or items that you may not know much about but are worth checking out because they are stand outs for value or performance. The first product is the CSS SDX15 - 15" XBL Subwoofer driver Acoustic Visions is proud to offer the CSS SDX15 driver. For those looking for class leading sound quality with the ability to get low and loud (30mm Xmax each direction) then this driver should be at the top of your list. It utilizes an XBL2 motor for excellent sound quality, low distortion, and low inductance and as a result offers a VERY …

My trunk is around 12.5 cubes. I can fit either 1 or 2 12's on the baffle board. 1200 watts RMS is what I'm working with. What do you guys think? Also, do these setups still hit low and loud?

Scott/Nick/Whoever , I realize you guys are busy, but I haven't gotten a response to my last email 2 weeks ago so I thought I'd try here. I've committed myself to a deal with someone else, so I have to get this taken care of. I discussed a solution with Scott but I haven't received what was offered (generously). Can someone please update me on this or if the original agreement won't work out now send me a bill for what I need to pay to get this resolved? Send me a PM and I can forward the email if needed. My email below should pull up the history to sales @ .. ficaraudio.com. Bryan [email protected]

Dude that sounds like it. Can anything be done with out having to recone it, besides turning the volume down. I'm glad to hear it is the only one with the problem. When I was running only 1500 watts, it wasn't an issue. Still have not popped a 100 amp fuse with my Sundown 3000. Mainly because with the bottoming out of the BTL I cannot turn it up because I want the music to remain clear. I need my 18s like yesterday. I can tell this sub has more to give along with the amp because of how much headroom I have. Kinda frustrating since I really want to crank this baby up. Funny thing is, everyone else is still blown away. Me dreaming Havocs. Thanks for the info. Joe

I was under the impression at the time that I wasn't allowed to take pics. I've since been told otherwise, I guess if Hicks wants to post 'em up he can, but the front of it looks like any other poly-dustcapped, rubber surround paper coned driver out there

the guy above you thinks the TL is a joke and for good reason, lol. but at least the TL's technology is out there, in the open. this new little meter is like a previous post mentioned, mexican jumping beans. so, soundwaves flaps the metal inside the box converting it to electronic signals, in it's most basic form, yes? if that's the case, wouldn't it be suspectible to everything a thin piece of metal is susectible too? heat? cold? expansion? contraction? just some random thoughts from an uneducated old guy. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

900 watts will work for either one, actually. Konaki Hybrid: RE = 1.75 ohms (series) Fs = 28.7 Hz Qes = 0.42 Qms = 6.46 Qts = 0.40 Le = 1.08 mH (series) Vas = 39.25 L Little video of breaking in the X12: http://www.sundownaudio.com/misc/X12_excursion.MOV Started out with it playing pretty clean, then turned it up a bit to show the physical travel it has (spiders get loud at that level). Okay, specs on the X12 proto: RE = 6.59 ohms (series) Fs = 35.6 Hz Qes = 0.807 Qms = 4.49 Qts = 0.684 Le = 4.85 mH (series) Vas = 21.74 L BL = 22.17 N/A Cms = 74.03 um/N I would suggest it for larger sealed or an IB application due to the Qts figure. It'll break in a bit more -- it has fou…

hey do you have any way of measuring the T/S parameters of either the Konaki Hybrid or the X12?? If I can sell my 19Ov.2 than I'd be super interested in either one. I like loud daily bass lol Crap...just saw that the hybrids are dual 1 and the X12 is dual 4. I only have a Nine.1 amp. 900 watts enough for the X12??

Oh, I'm close as well. I'm thinkin what it is is alpine units bass control is not a crossover but a center frequency and you can adjust freq and bandwidth. What I have set is +2 on both bass and treble with highest bandwidth possible. So... I believe is slowly sloping the frequency range. I had to have it set like that with the last amps I had or it wouldn't get full clean power without a little help. If my next amps are like that, I'll just get a line driver and 3way x-over since I need that anyway
