  2. So I hear a lot of disagreements with this passive active thing? do you feel that since im not on the level you guys are on that I will be able to tell the difference? should I do more research on a active system? like i said im not really looking for a SQ competition set up you know? Im just looking for something that sounds really good to the average listener. would a pair of those hybrids fit what im looking for? like i stated earlier the idea of just a front stage is kinda new to me. and from things I have previously heard the Premier series was the best. so i realize that you guys are having some disagreements on whether to run passive or active, but is the differen…

M5 and Jay cee, I dont think im as knowledgeable in car audio as you guys are giving me credit for, when your asking what are my plans? what am I willing to do? Im not sure what is necessary and what is not necessary, as M5 stated earlier I started this thread with the idea of having two sets of Components one in the front one in the back. I have learned that you guys highly disagree with this. but this as a example of what my previous knowledge was, im not sure on what i need to be looking into on install? so MJ is suggesting something that is alot easier to do.. (although after finished maybe you guys wouldn't be satisfied with the sound of the install, is it something …

I know you said these were fairly similar to the Mag V3, how similar are they? I think I may have seen that design before http://www.audiojunkies.com/blog/198/new-s...-prototype-pics

  14. Topic Description and title is pretty cut and dry. I ordered one for a planned Dodge Challenger install. Challenger changed to an SRT8 Magnum, so two were needed. The 30 Day build time killed that as I needed it in two weeks. No fault to Fi, as its good to see their business is picking up. Anyway, had to go with DC soundlab subs and now have the Fi Sub for sale. FI BTL 12 Dual 1 Fully loaded, silver dust cap. Stil in box, screwed to the shipping materials. Never used. With shipping and such it came out to 450ish. I'll let it go for 400. I live in Miami and will travel as far as West Palm. If you need it delivered farther we'll talk. I also have a 2000 watt Sound Strea…

I've heard a few subs make a funky sound when more power is applied to them that just doesn't sound like the bass the artist put in the song. On low volumes its fine. On higher volumes It sounds like the sub is puking. I hate that sound and i turn the bass down to when its gone. I've heard it mostly on punchy bass, long drawn out bass is usually fine. What causes this, is it when a sub exceeds its xmax or is that overrated in knowing what the sub sounds like as well? That's my only guess. I haven't heard lots of different subs but all the ones i heard did it.

MODS... if this post is inappropriate, please feel free to delete it. As the topic says... I "MIGHT" sell 2 NIB Ascendant Audio Avalanche 18" subs. Is there any interest? What are these worth right now? Again though... I CANNOT sell these yet because I am a new member.
