Oh boy, where to begin. 1/2" enclosures are not the best. Having two different sized enclosures is pretty ghetto and not ideal for sound reproduction at all. How do you have the subs wired to the amp? Since those subs are 4 ohm SVC, however you have it wired to that 2 channel amp is not ideal. Does this setup sound good at all? You need a fuse about a foot from the battery under the hood if you don't have one already.

  10. How will you integrate the mounting stud into the enclosure since you have to use them when mounting the sub the way you are?

Sorry to all who are waiting for quotes and responses to emails. I have been busy training a second employee and getting things ready for a CNC Router to keep up with these enclosures. The one I am 99% sure I am going to order Andrew

  13. Not hatin or ne thing but once that kid gets his car.. He will relize how much car audio really is when he has to pay for gas and other expenses.. Unless his parents will pay fer everything.. I found out the hard way by paying for everything myself.. He will find out once he turns 16 and gets his first whip.

I would run the sub at 2ohms not as hard on the amp or speaker unless setup properly. If you do go 1ohm I wouldnt run over the 1750rms power rating of the sub. so you recomended me to use that subw at 2 ohms? In this case i have to buy xcon dual 1ohm? This sub doesn't run properly at 1ohm at 1750w ?

  21. If the stuff on SSA's store is out of your price range, check out sonicelectronix.com they have a lot of the usual brand name stuff for pretty cheap. Not sure what your electrical is like or if you are planning to go over the 600w recommended rating, but last time I checked they had some older model Kicker 500w amps for 199 bucks. I was gonna grab one til I found a refurb sae1000d for 230 bucks, so obviously I went with the sundown.

i don't wanna work today, i wanna ride. i didn't ride yesterday, rain was called for, but never came. i will ride today, rain or otherwise. my boss actually questioned buying a harley over a jap cruiser...lol...he thought all harley's were 30k..hehe...said the jap bikes were far superior and cheaper. maybe back a few years, say amf years and early evo's, but not now, especially on the cheaper part. unless you buy used. but when you buy a harley, your making an investment, not a purchase. no jap cruiser will ever retain it's value like a harley. he then said a vtx1800 will walk a harley..hmmm....it starts out with 350cc's more displacement...but i'll run it..hehe..... som…
