Ok so I will stay at 14.4 I thought for sure this thing could take more, being a freaking HUGE.. lol These amps were a product of the early 90's when 12 volts was pretty much all we had to work with. Those are even more rare than my old 50C.

Finally... Ok, to set things straight here, this unit was sent to Stratus from someone who promised to perform a full review but never followed through. After several months, I finally asked the man to forward the unit on to him so Stratus could follow through with a proper testing. The pictures Stratus posted warrants clarification so those who read this can fill in the blanks: 1.) The SPL-12 is wrapped in a thick plastic bag with four layers of cardboard that sits over the surround. It is then topped off with a flat cardboard piece to protect the cone. 2.) The SPl-12 comes with an aluminum trim ring for owners to switch out with the rubber gasket. It is normally pl…

Thank you. I've always wondered the same thing. It sure seems like a strange business model if you ask me. Why is the dealer listing such a secret? I bought an Atlas 12 and an Arsenal 12 from Chad during their presales so I'm a longtime AA fan. I also bought a pair of their poly mids. Because then you get people trying to play the price game and call dealers outside of their territory..or outside of their area...which keeps the shops from being able to make their money to swim. The line is there for shops and shops only. If you have a shop within a reasonable driving distance of where you live, then you must purchase through them. There is absolutely no reason to have a…

(somehow I doubt that you're laughing) If you can explain how to model room gain with nothing to go on other than a pic, you may revolutionize audio as we know it. If you can do the same with in-cabin response, the AES would make you an honorary member. Who the fruck make this guy a member of the tech team? This is Audio101. That's equivalent to asking, "When did you stop beating your wife?" Please illustrate your claiming the enclosure is too small. I'd love to see this. Ahhh...so all 8" subs are the same. Brilliant. So what? 1. As was already illustrated, the enclosure is not too small, regardless of your wishful thinking. 2. <sigh> Are you another poster who …
