Not hatin or ne thing but once that kid gets his car.. He will relize how much car audio really is when he has to pay for gas and other expenses.. Unless his parents will pay fer everything.. I found out the hard way by paying for everything myself.. He will find out once he turns 16 and gets his first whip.

Motors really dont have a power rating, as it is a function of the soft parts and coils somewhat more than the motor. But they can be made into a 1000W RMS sub without too much issue. SQ, SPL, some sort of mix of things? What coil? Thanks, Scott

I am looking into buying the 15 or 18. I would like to say that I would rather get the 18, but that's not true. I want to get whatever will promote the best response with my trunk size. I have a 03 grand prix, and the height of the trunk is only 17 inches. The maximum dimensions the box width and length can be are 35 x 30. My main question is if the surround of the sub is only 1 1/2 to 2 inches away from the lid, will that decrease my response? With the 18 the dimensions would be 15 tall x 35 wide x 29 deep with the port firing into the cab tuned at 33hz. Will smaller actually give me the most bass? I'm not worried about SQ, just spl... Thanks in advance! Any help and ad…

x2. He makes a good point on running a smaller battery bank because it's going to be on a stock alternator. The alt will not be able to charge those kinetiks I'm open to suggestions would 1600's be good or smaller. I'm still learning so use detail.

Not really sure what I am asking here but here goes. I am running a TC3000 15"DVC sub. Each coil is 2ohms. I am running this parallel to a SAZ1500d for a 1 ohm load. With no music this specs out at about a perfect 1 ohm at the box terminals. Now whem I measure resistance while music is playing using my trusty calibrated Fluke 87 DMM, The lowest I am seeing resistance-wise is above 3 ohms. It never gets below and of course we are not going to discuss the high point. This is all done on a 60-20 htz sweep. So one of my questions is, does this mean that my sub is at most only getting 500 ish watts? I suppose what I need to do next is measure voltage and current. Was just doin…

We plugged up one port hole in a box I had laying around the shop and dropped an NS 15 in there to see what would happen. Good times I think we've had too much fun this weekend. Also did a video of a 149.5 run -- my clamp did not register in the video for some reason... but when we did the 149.7 run I clamped 2500 actual watts. VIDEO :

Well, what can i say.... What does RD and Skar and Kevin and scammers and illegal aliens all have in common? Once they do u wrong, it's common practice.. So, why am i not surprised there is ANOTHER thread about another customer's problem? Apparently let me lay out circumstantial information from my own opinion. Having done a LOT of business online, customer service, realtime information and product need to be top notch.. Customer service comes from ALWAYS being available. If not, callback customer... Realtime info- shipping info needs to be sent.. if not, how is a customer suppose to know what's goin on? Product- obviously it must work.. IF it doesn't, your pockets BET…

This is a great topic. The hardest thing about working out, is getting to the gym. I believe in small short term goals.
