Not to make this into pissing contest. but Ive been involved in audio for almost 30 years, having setup numerous CES high-end systems, not to mention freelaning as a setup pro. And I'm talking about SOTA audio. Clearly, I don't see a point to all of this, as I'm perfectly capable of making my own decisions. All I want to know is if BJ can build a box out of 1/2" material. It won't matter if you get a recone..from us..or somebody else..and do the same thing, you are going to burn it up again. The coils are wound the exact same way every time as they are done on a machine..positive and negative is always the same. If you had it wired wrong and had the coils out of phase with each other they will fight each other and something will burn. IE No sound! I made a video anyways for when you get a recone...just a helpful hint and a fyi, it is foolish to get a "Hybrid" made from somebody else...there is a reason behind why we use what we use in our subs. Gotta question for you guys, Im trying to find out if I should do another spot for my ground wire coming from my battery. My main battery is in the trunk and it has some metal piece attached to it where the stock ground was located and unpainted. Not to long ago I scraped the paint of the metal and redid the ground with bigger wires. In the pictures below I will show you were I drilled a hole on the bottom of the trunk floor to make a new ground spot but the metal there is very thing (if you push on it it waves a little). I had some PHY 21s and piezos for about 3 months (they were on loan). I had them in an open baffle set up and found them to be quite enjoyable. My first experience with them was about 7 years ago from Ocellias Tillia speakers. They were an incredible setup with rather interesting cabinets.
