She's got two DP 12's in a t-line enclosure on two Soundstream 2000 watt Picasso series mono-blocks.

A guy I work with has (2) 12" Hifonics Brutus in a sealed box. He said he would give them to me for $60.00, do you think this is a good deal? I have not seen them yet, he will be bringing them in tomorrow. I am not to concerned with how they will sound. I will be getting my new setup in September so basically they will be used in the mean time. Onlinecarstereo.com has them for 119.00 Ea., I am thinking that I may even be able to sell them for a profit when i am thru with them. I know I said I dont care how they sound, BUT have any of you guys heard them? What would you compare them with?

So last night I took around an hour or so to write up some huge review on my new pair of 18'' Sound Solution Audio Xcons. Unfortunately there was a url glitch and the thread is gone, so I will try to sum up my product review instead of another 5000 word essay. The SSA Xcon is an amazingly solid driver that has absurd amounts of low end output (on little power might I add) and still acts incredibly responsive, the sound quality of this sub does not hold back its ability to "get loud" one bit. So first off I would like to say that I usually never write product reviews. In fact, even with all of the car audio equipment I have owned in the past, I still have never wrote a single review. Fortunately for you all, the SSA Xcons prompted me to give it a try, simply because these drivers are too well made and under appreciated for me to stay quiet . enclosure for 6 Kicker cvx 15's 24 cubic feet net tuned to 35 hertz with two 12" ports with custom made flares. Double baffle plus a third layer for flush mount, with a ton of interior bracing. Wrapped in tan vinyl with black suede inlays. Pictures are just a general layout and do not show flares or internal bracing. (It would take me damn near as long to draw them as it will to build them. LOL)
