I need to know what the outer diameter including jacket is of WS' 4/0 cable. I need to run it through conduit and need to know what size to buy. Certain sizes start escalating prices like crazy

Just installed my new system and entered my first compition. Took first place in the Modified 901-1600 class (USACi) I hit a 149.7 on the termlab mic which I hear is pretty good. I have 2 XS-15D1v.2 in a 4.5 cubic foot box tuned to 36hz in a chevy avalanche, powered by one Powerbass 3000d

My friend is deciding on an 18 for his van, and i told him i'd help him out by buying his 15's he has just chillin. They are Fusion Powerplant series, the older green ones, that are 450rms. I looked all over and i just couldnt find anymore info on the old models; does anyone have any experience with these subs? I am looking to make an spl (burp) setup for my moms hatchback. I would either get a AQ2200D or a Sundown 2000D. Bell's ringing, if any info is needed, just let me know.

I was wondering how much of an audible difference more port area would make. For instance my 12 is in a 2 cu. ft box with 2X13 port area which is 26 sq. inches of port. Would a 3x13 port make it that much louder or is more port area just desirable for chasing tenths on the tl. More port means a bigger box but is it worth it? I know higher tuning will definitely make it louder but i don't compete so i would never tune above 35 hz. Or perhaps i need a bigger sub . I'm more of a basshead than i thought.

Alright guys so today i sold my 12" bl and am awaiting my sa-10's. So for now a buddy let me use his little 12" hifonics sub to hold me over until mine arrive. But i honestly dont know what i should do with the subsonic filter now since iv always ran ported lboxes. I have an aq2200 and the ssf goes from 10hz-50hz, so what should i put it at or does it not matter where its at?

I started a thread recently in which I got some good advice about specs for new box. I was told that I needed to build a new box with a higher tuning(37-39 hz) to accomodate my AQ driver. After building the new box, the driver has become irritatingly peaky. It hits a 45 hz note very well but drops off significantly on lower notes (30-32 hz). What can I do to eliminate, or atleast decrease, the peak?

I wasn't going to but the stock speakers have horrible cone breakup and it's driving me absolutley nuts. So I might aswell. The system has to be simple and mostly from items I already have. Space is a consideration since the vans main purpose is work (lots of tools supplies etc in the back). The Vehicle is a 1997 AWD Astro Cargo Van. 2 seats and the rest is wide open (1 parts shelf a foot or so back from the drivers seat all the way to the back doors). I'll use an RFX-8240 for source. (Maybe I'll fashion a feaux 'stock deck' face.) I have a set of old MB Quart separates 6.5" QM 160TC mids 1" QM 19HC Titanium tweets with Passive crossovers. Figure stock (door) locations …

I recently purchased a 2001 Buick lesabre and want to put a system in it. First things first I need to get a decent head unit in there, tape player isn't gonna cut it lol. But I want to make sure it's done right, I want to keep my steering wheel controls and I was told I'll need something to either bypass the stock amp or integrate it. I've researched it a little but I don't know that I'll get it right still so I came here for help. Is there anyone that has installed a after market headunit in one of these cars? What exactly do I need so that everything will be functional and done correctly?

Well, last summer, me and my friends saw somebody w/ an ice chest speaker box. They had a Pioneer HU, some Kicker 8's, some Pioneer 6x9s, and a small amp and a battery. It sounded really good. We had the idea to do something bigger and better however. On our quest for the perfect ice chest to use (hey its gotta be big enough to hold beer), we came across a rubbermaid bench. We thought it would be perfect for the project and so we bought it. I took my old pioneer hu (deh-p330) and my friend donated some 5.25s, and I bought some pioneer 6x9s off of a friend. For bass, I picked up a pair of RE 8's while they were on sale. I bought a JBL 80.4 to power it all. After a few w…

I have a 15 Fi Bl fully loaded. I have a Kicker ZX1500.1 amp to power it and 4 gauge stinger wire w/ 150amp in-line fuse. Several weeks ago i was bumpin around town, and my sub quit. I sent it in to Fi and they fixed it for me. (they never said, b/c they covered it under warranty, but i think they just reconed it) so i put it back in and have everything hooked up, but now when i turn the volume up to where i like it, it just doesn't do anything. a few notches down and it does fine, i would like to run it at 28, but it will only go on 25. (max volume 34) but when it quits, the green light is still on, and if i turn it back down it will hit again. sometimes it will hit an o…

Just as topic said. I plan to upgrade my alternator. Currently my alternator is rated at 60 amps (I know...) and plan to upgrade maybe twice the size (minimum of 100 amps) for daily. I dont need high power alternator as I am not competing... well maybe 1 or 2 comps doesnt hurt. My question is, is there a risk of upgrading to a bigger alternator??? Do i just swap it, make a bracket for the new alternator? Or do I really need to install 2nd battery for that. Reason being is that I was told by the shop that if you upgrade to a big alternator.. it will fried all your electrical components in your car as its capable to put out more current than the stock alternator. I unde…
