I plan on running a obsidian 12 or 15 in my 94 grand prix 2dr. I have a box meant for 2 12s, 5cuf gross 3.75 net. I can either put the 12 in there. or plug both wholes and cut a hole for the 15 on top. either way the box is temp. anyways I need suggestion on a amp for it. don't want to spend anymore then $200. i don't buy used and i don't buy off of fourms. i don't have a paypal and don't want a paypal.

I am curious to see if anyone else runs in to this issue and what might resolve it. I currently run a Pioneer PRS80 after selling one and getting another one i've noticed this same issue with both decks. Once I go pass a certain volume on the deck the bass itself makes the USB seem to disconnect from the unit for a quick second. Cycling through the source options and choosing the USB after turning down the volume lets it play again. I've seen others using this deck in loud systems and I wanted to see if they had the same issue and what they might have done to resolve it. My girl leased a new Rav4, and looking to make some changes to the factory stereo. Keeping the stock touch screen HU, and want to keep everything as factory looking as possible (drop in speakers, no cutting/custom) in the chance we turn it in at the end. In the title I put "reliable" as, there is a good chance we will buy this at the end of the lease and have it a long time. My back isn't so great, so Id like to do this once, and have it last. Hey guys. This is just a simple question that i seem to confuse myself about, but i would like you guys opinion. I have a 2008 chevy impala and i just bought a 2013 chevy malibu. Im going to go all out with fixing my car up orion subs, rims and all, but which car should i use? Should i use the impala thats already paid for to fix up or should i use my new malibu? I understand that the amount of decibels you are able to achieve is totally dependant on install. I was wondering if anyone would care to guess or offer a range of where i might be with my setup. I have a 2004 blazer with stock alternator and battery. Should be 105 amp alt... I have 1/0 gauge Kicker wire running to the back. I have done the big 3. I'm waiting on a SQ2200. It will be pushing a HDC3 15 copper D2 at 1ohm in a 3/4" dual baffle mdf box with 5.29 net tuned at 35.79 hertz according to torres. Any guesses? alright guys so I'm getting my alternator within a month, and getting ready tear apart my ride and redo my whole wiring (to get rid on an alternator wine) and to complete my car with all sky high. anyways, wanted to switch my enclosure to birch wood with the fact that it is lighter than mdf and that natural look, looks a whole lot better the way i have my enclosure right now its tuned to 33hz, subs pointing upward port towards the back, love how it sounds (gets down, windshield flexes) on 3 10's so my other option was to make an enclosure and seal my trunk having subs and port pointing forward, never tried it but i have seen some videos of some enclosures ge…

Well I've been away from car audio atleast 2 to 3 years. Not sure what is new if anything. I've got a system right now. A single 10 inch re sx mated to a usamps md1d set to 1ohm so about 1000 watts. I'm actually looking to get rid of it and go more towards sq but know nothing towards that. What's a sq sub? Does it matter on amps? Box wise I know sealed box is best. I've seen these soundqubed and skar are they any good? Don't really have an idea on budget but as always cheaper is better and I'm looking to sell my system probably.

With the increasing demand for the amazing pioneer deh-80prs and the availability dropping and price on the rise I figured I better get one while I can. Should be a nice compliment to my system. I have the opportunity to grab the hi energy set for cheap bnib. I'm looking for loud but clear vocals with a fair amount of mid bass at loud volumes. I'll be running the full power or more to the set. And be fiber glassing pods for the Mids and the tweeters. I listen to all kinds of music mainly rap and alternative rock. For a 12'' Zcon in 3 cubes at 32hz. How big does the box need to be gross? I can do 30 wide and 15 high, trying to figure out how deep the box needs to be.

I have a trailblazer and I'm trying to come up with a way to secure my box for anti-theft purposes. I'm looking for some ideas on what I should do. Right now I'm thinking of laying some 1/2" particle board that I somehow secure and then put some metal slats of some type on the bottom of the box that secure to the particle board. I'm looking for an easier way to be able to remove it and replace it if I need to haul something. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I have a 2006 Mazda3 and a Kenwood DDX470 headunit. I also have Infinity 6829CF door speakers in my front doors, with stock speakers in the rear. Lastly, I have a Hifonics Brutus 1600.1D amplifier powering two Kicker CVX 10's at 1,200RMS @ 2Ohms. My problem is when I crank up my music, car on or off (but more so when the car is off), the radio will sometimes turn off and restart. My radio goes up to 35 on the volume wheel, with 32 being my self set distortion limit. I'm not sure it's really the song that matters, but I can crank up a song with a lot of bass to 32, and after beating away for 10 seconds or sometimes even less, the radio will just restart and then work nor…

Hey guys I am looking to upgrade my head unit in my boat. I am redoing the hole thing. I have two 15 SSA in ported boxes. (Still waiting on this stuff) For highs I have eight Hertz 6.5" at 4 ohms with two Hertz amps running them in stereo. I dont have room for and head other than a 1-Din.
