Just wondering if you guys knew from experience of how you guys find out these things. Its the 7 speaker JBL premium system. Subwoofer mounted in rear deck IB, mids in doors, and two tweeters up front. Just looking where to find info on replacing these or anything like that. I've heard that the subwoofer craps out pretty easily and so I've just been looking for a way to replace it if need be with an aftermarket!

Need some help got a 77 c10 dont really know what to do for a sub becuase of the lack of room, plan on putting a box between the driver side a pass side. 2 feet across 2 feet hight and 1 feet 3 inches in dept. what can i fit in something like this. I am opening to any subs, how many if i can go ported such things like that .

Ant at Second Skin just got about $450 and the guys at Knu around $250. Bulk pack of Damplifier Pro and 4 sheets of Lux Liner Pro. That should be enough for a King Cab I would think. 50' of 1/0 KLMX, 40' of 4ga KLMX, 20' of Karma 10ga speaker wire, 100' of Karma 16ga and 2 pairs of Klarity 4m RCAs. All wiring hardware is getting reused from the previous system and is Stinger Xpert. Build log will begin in about a month.

i saw in a thread on another forum that if you have a subwoofers in a convertible you will lose 85% of your sound with the top down..how true is that? and will it help if the subs is facing towards the cabin

I have this mojo sub and I needed to build a box for it. I have tested it and it is 4ohm dvc. I wanted to know if anyone had the specs to it like freq. response. and all that good stuff. Also I would like to know if anyone has had any experience with it and how much power I could give it.

i guess should post here. i want something LOUD and i want a ported box. im not really concerened too much about sound quality as much as just solid pounding bass. i wanna run at least 1500-2000w rms to both of them. i aint cheap so let me know what some options may be...and if this is too vague tell me and ill try and elaborate more. i was going to go with 2 mtx 9512's...but for the price, they dont seem worth it to me...im sure theres better out there for much cheaper. lemme know...thanks

My friend currently just got his first system. Its a 12" CVR with a 2.7 cuft. sealed box. The power is coming from a TXi 1008D (1000 watt) Hifonics amp. Now heres the issue. This system does NOT pound at all. It feels really "weak" if you say. Someone told me that the box is too big. Im not really sure. Heres a hint, when playing hoods run down, it doesn't get the last 3 tones. Its as if the sub is not even trying, there is no excursion at all. Any one have any ideas? Thanks. Was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this driver before or had any ideas on box dimensions for it. I know nothing about this sub I got it on a trade = to $150 and it has never been used. I have no info on what car this will go into but it will be for street beats in a ported box so any dimensions you guys want to throw at me I will probably do.

welp today i am shopping for a secondary batteryfor the Celica build i am doing, and wanted to go with a HC1200 but stumbled upon powermaster d1200. I'm looking to get a o-scope. I do have an ancient scope it works, I think, there's just too many dials and chit than I know what to do with. And I rather know how to use it than just guess. What kinds of things should I be looking for? Size, Price, Features, etc. Are there any like idiot proof ones that are accurate and reliable? I saw the Velleman 10 MHz Handheld Oscilloscope over on Partsexpress.com Is it any good? and should I also pick up the Velleman 10:1 Probe as well, or do I really need it? Help me out here guys, I usually set the gains by ear. But not this time around, not with this much power or potential for chit to go really really wrong

i have an 08 impala with 2 12 ssd in a ported box, n i wuz wondering wut all should i dynamat? just my trunk or wut? cuz i really dont wanna rip out all my nice new interior. and will it sound better if dynmat the trunk or will it sound weaker, cuz i dont mind the rattle of the trunk, but i def dont want to loose overall loudness.

So, I've finally come to the realization that it's quite cumbersome having a large, complex stereo. My original goal was to have adequate equipment for 3-way active frontstage plus substage....but the fucking gear just doesn't fit in my trunk the way I'd prefer. I want to maintain as much trunk space as possible plus have access to my spare....and it's just not working out well. Too much equipment, not enough space. so i got a saz 1500d pushing 2 12ssd in a ported box in an 08 impala. i noticed my headlights dim a little on when i turn it up, but my bass knob is all the way down. do i need an extra batt??? and is it alot of work 2 run 1? cuz ill probably just have it done at a shop. TIA

Hello to my car audio friends this it my first time posting.. i have a burning question. I want to put 2 15" in my ride and i want to give it the most space as possible. The problem is i have read subs up port back is the best application but i could only get the most out of it with subs up port up... how much would i be missing out on both the meter and ear by doing subs up port up?.. is it a big no no in the car audio world to use such application? thanks for the help in advance..
