Iv basically heard two opposite ends of the spectrum on this one, Iv seen multiple posts saying that PSI is awful, and then many post saying that PSI is great. Im terribly confused. If you have some experience with PSI or PSI recones id like to get the actual answer just in case I end up dealing with them sometime in the future.

I have a 15" AA SMD that's powered by a Stetsom 7k2e. I will gain down to 3500 - 4000 watts @ 1 ohm. Biggest enclosure I can fit in the trunk is 4.5 - 4.6^3 before displacement. The sub will take up .24 cubes and bracing .2 That leaves me w ~ 4.05^3 before port. I'll be using a 6" PSP Aeroport. A few questions I have are 1. Do you find port area in the straight length pipe, or at the very end (diameter of the mouth opening)? 2. My PSP has a 6" diameter straight pipe that flares out to 8" at the very end (on both sides). Which number do I use to find port area? 3. Do PSP's really require half the recommended port area as a slot or straight round port? If this is any h…

Hey guys... so I'm thinking of what kind of vinyl I need to order to cover my door pods, but I don't think I'm going to be about to cover them without cutting the vinyl at least once or twice. My problem is that the speaker baffles stick out at a wide angle, and even with the fleece I had to cut it 2 times to eliminate the huge wrinkle in the back. The part that I plan to cut will not be too visible, it will be the part on the back of the speaker pod facing towards the floor (even with the door open, unless someone gets down there and looks). So my question is to anyone who's tackled something like this can you give some advice? Would I be better off taking these to an …

I've been looking at posts lately of people putting 8's in there doors and have noticed that pretty much everyone seems to glass the door panel and mount the speaker to the door panel. Can the door panel be made strong enough to handle 200W of 8" midbass pounding away and not really leak around its edges?

So I got meh 4 gauge amp kit today. :bigclap: My dad is fixed on helping me with the install and he said it would be easier to put the amp under the seat instead of in the trunk, and he is worried it might overheat in the trunk on a hot summer day. It fits nice and snug under the seat, and all I would have to run to the trunk would be speaker wire. Is there a reason I shouldn't put it under the seat instead of the trunk?

Is this feasible? Since I will be running sealed to get my backseats back I'm running out of room. need to place a crescendo bc5500 and 1100.4 in my Xb somewhere. Was thinking of building a compartment in the hatch door itself to put the 1100.4. I know running 4 sets of speaker wires along with the 4g power wires will take some time but is this a possibility? Or am I asking for a headache.

Just showing off a bit and get myself motivated to finish (ahem, get started) on my build. So what do we have here? Oh, yes I did! Here something a bit closer. The main bracket. Overall it's a nice bracket. Spacers are welded onto the bracket, which is a nice touch to ease installation. There is even a strategically placed bend in the bracket for rigidity. High quality fasteners are used throughout the kit. The instructions included are some of the best I've seen. There are lots of words and for those of us with the attention span of a fly there are color pictures as well. Stay tuned for my trials and tribulations installing this monster and upgrading my electrical. F…

I’m probably going to be flamed for this but where would I learn how to build my own drivers like SSA and Sundown do? Do they manufacture the surrounds, cone etc themselves or do they outsource most of the parts and assemble them before selling them? I really want to start my own business someday and car audio is my passion and I would LOVE to learn all I can.

ok so i traded my friend the orions, i got from nccj, for these pioneer subs i got from bb a while back(basiclly i sold him those too and got them back) and he gave me 50bux(in change ) but anyway, i have my PA 3000db, calculated a lil bit, and came up wt these numbers ohms watts gain 8 200 4 1100 900 2 1800 700 1 2300 500 0.5 2550 250 Now the subs are rated at 150rms per sub, so 300total. So i have them in series and thier both 4ohms so it should be 8ohms total. I'm scared to turn them up loud because i dont want to blow them cuz im gonna giv them to my g/f once my subs come in. The gain is set to 0, and all bass is set to 0 and -7on the HU, lol, I can hear it …
