if i have a sub box that has a rating of 40hz will the subwoofer still sound good and play low notes if the subwoofer is rated at 33hz or will i have to have the same rated hz on the box as well as the sub to make it sound correctly Thanks for any responses,

Well it was extremely exciting and a great experience...... my first time ever on the meter. I was in SB4... First run got 141.~ because of a bad song choice Second run had a 145.~ after 16 seconds, then there was about a 3 second pause in the bass... bringing me to a final score of 142.~ My mind was on everything except for my camera.... i'm gonna be running 2 batteries but i'm not sure what isolator to get. my setup is an orion 2500D and a pg ti500.4 with a 200 amp alt. and big 3 done in 1/0 guage wire. i have just a stock battery under the hood and plan to run a small yellowtop in the back, but i don't know what isolator to use and where to get one. i found this one here: http://www.darvex.com/miva/merchant...duct_Code=SR200 is that one any good or can i get another/or better one somewhere else?

Well I purchased 2 IA LI 15's and want to build a box 8 cubes after displacemnt. I'm wanting to use the psp ports to tune it to 32hz. My question is can I use 4-4" ports and have enough port area? Psp's calculator says 14.61" in length for my desired tuning but a local shop told me do 6" ports. Which is going to work better? ------this is going in my 07 Ford Escape with usable dim. of 40wx22dx22h

Simple noob question... I built a box for 2 10in DCON's but since they haven't come yet (day 8) can I throw my 2 old 10in alpine type-s subs in for now? will the spacing/distance for the screws be the same?

Does anyone know or have imfo on which full size four door pickup has the most room under the rear seat? Or which one is easier to install subs under rear seat? Looking at 2008 and newer. I'm shopping for trucks and what subs and equipment that will fit plays a big role in the decision.

if i'm correct the better the RCA the better luck you have with not getting road noise right? so i know the best brands are monster, kicker, and RF. do you think kicker 09z series are worth the extra few dollars or should you just go with the cheap scorche RCA's?

Just installed my new system and entered my first compition. Took first place in the Modified 901-1600 class (USACi) I hit a 149.7 on the termlab mic which I hear is pretty good. I have 2 XS-15D1v.2 in a 4.5 cubic foot box tuned to 36hz in a chevy avalanche, powered by one Powerbass 3000d

Did a 149.4 on music sealed on dash Iasca style. Did a 152.4 outlaw on music and burped a 152.9 at 39hz. Did all that with a 29hz tuning on hdc3's!

hello. i have a new alpine type R that does 600rms. i was going to get the SAZ-1000D when i get money ( so many good reviews) its perfect for 1 (at 2 ohms x 600rms) my question is will it be enough for 2 alpine type R's at 1 ohm ? 1000rms? ( buying another one later)

About a year ago I bought my first subs which were just cheap Duals from Best Buy. I am still using them today, but in a box I built for them. The box was actually made for two 10" FI Q's and I just put the 2 12" Duals in them temporarily, but I never got around to upgrading so the Duals stayed. Now I'm looking at more options, but deciding to go a slightly different route. I figure a decent sub with the right install would sound a ton better than what I have now, so that's what I'm looking for. Ok so i have a 10" JL w3v3 4ohm driver and a cheapo pioneer amp( i know i know moneys tight) So i hooked this all in my 05 ranger with a Kenwood Excelon deck. I have 2ga welding wire for ALL hot and cold connections. I did the big 3 except for the engine ground for Now. I tossed my cap out as it didnt help and read alot of bad ju ju about them. I get dimming light as do most on Hard bass hits whenthe amp is at +6db's and the deck is at 5 to 15db's. I want to know if i should invest in a second battery (xs power or kinetick) or swap the stock battery out for a better one?? Otherwise i thought about just getting a H/O alternator.? I dont wanna spend a fortune i want to sti…

Been sifting through threads but haven't really seen too many builds with a sub back/port front design or vice-versa. It seems that any other design would take up the entire trunk with little room for any other equipment. This is what I'm proposing: Top down view of the trunk.
