Can you guys help me out I want a better system some 15s I was thinking 2 of the z 4s with a saz3500 idk how that would work I want to spend 3 grand I already have wiring kit and head unit.

I recently had my blazer broken into, had my FI Q's stolen along with the rest of my setup. Found some RE SR's on craigslist for a good price, so I picked 'em up, and got an autotek ss1000.1d to push them. My '06 civic has a really strange dash, and I was wondering what kind of power and sound quality losses I would suffer if I kept it stock instead of installing my Alpine CDA-9883. Also, I was wondering if anyone had any help as to what LOC would give me the least unwanted noise, and how much it would cost to have one professionally installed by a local car audio shop directly to my rear speakers.

About a year ago I bought my first subs which were just cheap Duals from Best Buy. I am still using them today, but in a box I built for them. The box was actually made for two 10" FI Q's and I just put the 2 12" Duals in them temporarily, but I never got around to upgrading so the Duals stayed. Now I'm looking at more options, but deciding to go a slightly different route. I figure a decent sub with the right install would sound a ton better than what I have now, so that's what I'm looking for. Can a line out converter cause distortion in the system? The reason I ask is because I have some of the ED EHQS 12's and I hooked a 12 up to my brothers system in a 2 cube sealed box on a RF P3001, on 400 watts, and it sounded clean and got pretty loud. But just now I hooked the same sub up to my girlfriend's system also a 2 cube sealed box on Diamond 400.1, @ 2 ohm only 200 watts, and the sub is bottoming out in her setup. My brother has an aftermarket pioneer HU and my girlfriend is running off of a converter and her stock Pioneer HU, she has a Scion TC. Could the sub be bottoming out now because it is off of a stock HU and converter, does that cause a dirty signal?

Has anybody used the Cascade stuff from PE? http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cf...tnumber=268-250 I am thinking about spraying the inside of my box with it. Just curious if it works well or if I should even use it? I would like to be 110% sure it is sealed and get rid of any resonances that might exist. What do you think?

...and one of the main deciding factors was that it has to have a lot of potential for a very good sound stage. Probably something that a lot of you have thought about. What would it be? SUV? Hatchback car? Small? Big? Medium? Oh and it has to be decently quick and cool looking, manual, and around $5.5K used. Hey guys just a quick qustion. I was digging through some old amps I have and i found an old school orion hcca 250 digital reference 2 channel. On this amp there is a clipping indicator, Should i trust this light? how accurate is it.? Also i have a rubicon with the same thing.

I am running more then 1 battery, 3 amps, 1 320amp alt.. where would i wire the stinger voltmeter to get the overall voltage of my truck? Never ran one before

Hey guys. well if you don't know, I'm trying to go active on this next seutp. I'm wondering a couple things though. 1) you think audio control EQTS(2 since they are mono) and a 4XS is a good combo? I'm choosing them because the EQTS have 31 band 1/3 octave EQ, and the 4xs will support all of my speakers properly. Plus they are pretty cheap, 250 (if you can find them) for the EQTS, and about 60-80 bucks for the 4xs. 2) I need a H/U that will support my 4 way setup, for time alignment. what are some good H/U's that do this? Simple noob question... I built a box for 2 10in DCON's but since they haven't come yet (day 8) can I throw my 2 old 10in alpine type-s subs in for now? will the spacing/distance for the screws be the same?

i want to design a box for my 10in ssds. i kinda wanted to go ported so they require at least .9 of airspace after displacments. the space i have to work with is 53in long 15in tall bottom depth around 11in top around 4in. its going in a standard cab s10 so if anyone has better ideas that would be cool i just kinda wanted to go ported this time instead of sealed but if i cant it aint no problem

Ok, so I splurged a little when I bought my new car. I needed something small, since its a BMW 3 series. I got 2 12" JL W7's off a friend for 500. I need to make a box for these that will fit my trunk in the Bmw. My bro has some mach 5 spl15 and wants to finally do something with them. I remember he recommend 1500 rms for daily but cant remember box size. does anybody remember? the spl12 on the website say 40-70L.

I need 2.5 cubes @ 33Hz. The box will be 15Hx36Wx12.5D with 3/4mdf which should net 2.96cuft.Displacement 0.14cuft. Now the problem! Can anyone tell me what tune the box will have if I go 2.5Wx14L?? I think I am way off here. After adding .75 to the ports width for the wood wall I finished with 2.47cuft. Which is pretty close to the 2.5cuft goal. I am open for suggestions with the whole box and can trash the 15h x 36w idea. Also, would be great if I knew the exacts for finding a ported boxes tune in standard. Thanks for any ideas and help in advance.

Well I purchased 2 IA LI 15's and want to build a box 8 cubes after displacemnt. I'm wanting to use the psp ports to tune it to 32hz. My question is can I use 4-4" ports and have enough port area? Psp's calculator says 14.61" in length for my desired tuning but a local shop told me do 6" ports. Which is going to work better? ------this is going in my 07 Ford Escape with usable dim. of 40wx22dx22h

I went to my first car audio competition over the past weekend. I finished first in my division ( amatuer). It was a neat experience. I scored well for my first show and met some really cool people. I got some help from a world champ sound quality guy. He brought out an RTA, we talked and tuned for about 2 hours before I got judged. Learned alot just in the short amount of time. Was all in all great time. Also wanted to thank M5 for his input and sharing knowledge. Cant wait till the next show, I can attend. This may be the start of a real addiction LOL!!!
