Hi all, A friend of mine wants a system for his class c Mercedes. He used to have some kind of spl system his cars, but wants now something small. He will buy a good Alpine head unit and a set of Focal comps for the front(without amp). He like the Icon but need something smaller, 300-600 watts rms. My first option would be a 10" Dcon sub and a small 2 channel amp(maybe a Sundown). Will that be enough for his trunk? will he be able to hear it in the car? The trunk is quite big, and seems to have no ski hole. What are the other options ? He would like to keep the budget as low as possible, but he is not broke, at all !!! Hello all. I just finished up my fiberglass box today. I am posting a link to my gallery at ED's galleries. Can someone tell me how to post pics in the thread so I don't have to link to it. This box is about 1.8 or so cubic feet. I measured volume with packing peanuts. So it is not exact. Now I have to move onto my amp rack and then my doors. This fiberglassing thing aint too bad. kinda fun once you figure it out. Anywho, here is the link. Please let me know what you think and any comments. Just curious if it works well or if I should even use it? I would like to be 110% sure it is sealed and get rid of any resonances that might exist. What do you think?

Yep uncle sam put the big old red white and blue shaft to me this year. So no new build anytime soon. Guess I'll have to use the Powerbass XL 15"s I have sitting in the closet unfortunatly they are huge air space hogs. Just need an amp. I've got my Elemental designs nine.2 running my borrowed 13ov.2s right now. It works but Not quite what I am used to or want. Just had to vent a little.

So im in the process of a new build. Ive had a Skar VVX15 and DC Lvl4 18. Def loved the DC more. ( just sold that ) but its so expensive for me to get multiples. For this new build i want to do either 15s or 18s for sake of its cheaper to get louder (meaning price of 1 18s is cheaper than 2 12s of equivalent specs) So my question is what kinda ideas you guys got! At least doing 2 subs. maybe 4 if i can afford. Not sure on Power ( currently have a SAZ1500v1 but wanna upgrade to 3-4k) I have a 99 jeep grand cherokee...willing to cpillar wall......GO! any questions just ask! thanks guys

Hey guys just a quick qustion. I was digging through some old amps I have and i found an old school orion hcca 250 digital reference 2 channel. On this amp there is a clipping indicator, Should i trust this light? how accurate is it.? Also i have a rubicon with the same thing.

what is the length or volume of a vent in a 2cu ft ported box tuned to 28hz supposed to be? I am trying to figure out a way for my sealed box to have the ability to add on a vent to turn it into a vented box. Suggestions.

I just got a 05 explorer and i want to put a new system in it. I have a good budget but nothing to crazy. I have 2 Re Audio SX 12in Subs that are going in there and My Kenwood head unit. Besides that i sold everything. I am willing to sell my JL amps ( 2- 500/1 and a 300/4). I would like about 750rms going to each sub. I liked my cdt audio components i used to have but i don't know which ones would be best for the money or to get a different brand... i am open to all ideas. I was wanting to put 2 sets of 6.5's and a extra set of 5.25 or 4.5's in the front ,but its just an thought. What do you think????

Well, last summer, me and my friends saw somebody w/ an ice chest speaker box. They had a Pioneer HU, some Kicker 8's, some Pioneer 6x9s, and a small amp and a battery. It sounded really good. I was at a car comp at Michigan Tech today, took 1st place in Street B with a 143.6 on the TL playing Outkast - Speakerboxx. I also took first in amateur SQ.

Alright I need your help again...but this time i did some research before so hopefully my questions shouldn't anger anyone. I have been doing some research on the history of car audio subwoofers and the progression of technological advances with wiring amplifiers and other stuff. But could someone please help me make a short version of it. I need to creat a section for my imc plan. Not quite sure what to include in it. lik i want to start with the first sub-woofer..how did it work....then explain the newest most advanced and compare the two. just want some insight before i start.

I have a 2002 s10 reg cab and i started the box today. It will house a single sound splinter Rl-p 15" sub (hopefully, I think i have it figured where I can do it) if not, then a single 12" Rl-p sub. Either will be run off a JL 500/1. figured out the pix!!!
