Hey guys, I’ve had this system for the past three months and I’m not very fond of it.. Especially the Kicker Sub. It doesn’t hit hard at all and with some low bass songs it sounds like I may be using a little boom box. I was wondering if the system that I have set up should be sounding great or if what I’m getting is expected from this kicker sub. In my old truck I had an Alpine type S 12” amped, not sure if my expectations are too high. Also with my amped Alpine Type R speakers I’m not getting any bass what so ever. I just picked up a set of ascendant audio carbon 6.5 and tweeters. They did not come with crossovers. Im switching to a kenwood ddx371 or Pioneer avh4200. Well either one have the crossovers internally to run them or could passive crossovers work and if passive is a better option than the head units listed which crossovers would be best. Thank you for you time as all I have had in the past is coaxial speakers and since ordering two 12" DSS Ethos and a bc3500 I know the rest needs upgraded. Also my mtx te404 amp running high/mid and is extremely limited on setting the crossover. Thank you

I'll be powering an sa-15 w/SAX 1200d, and some ID xs-65 w/SAX 100.4 Plan on getting the Kolossus Fleks 0 Gauge Power Amp Kit, some 40ft of 16 guage KarmaSS, 2 Krystal Kable rca's, and a KONfused distributor for about $160, all from knu clearly. I figure 16guage should be good enough for speaker wire What fuse type and amperage is appropriate/recommended to be in the first foot of the battery for my power line? What size fuses should I get in the distro block for each line? I plan on putting both the amps, crossovers and distribution block in the tire well to be covered with a sheet of mdf for a false floor (maybe a plexiglass view window for looks) will it get too warm u…

I am planning a blowthrough in my gmc truck and I have a question... What shoould I use to deaden the bed? Do I just use the damplifier pro or should I use something similar to spectrum to spray in the bed?

What kind of music hits what hz? I listen to rap and some areas to me are real low. I get confused because I read and people say that rap is all in the 40-50hz range. And then I see that people tune their boxes to maybe 27-29. Is there a program out there that like plays music, then shows you where the hz level is at?

Hi soundsolutions it has been a while. Life has kept me extremely busy with school and work and not to mention I now have a baby girl on the way. I had a SSD 15" and a zx750 and I ended up selling the sub for rims and traded the 750 for a t-1000 which ended up toasting itself somehow.. long story short I have nothing.. I really don't want to spend more than $300 for the sub(s) and amp because I am strapped for cash and I just want some kind of low end nothing crazy. Sorry for the nooby question guys but it has been a while. If I have a amplifier that puts out 150x2 at 4 ohms and 190x2 at 2 ohms when you bridge the channels together for 380 RMS does it go to 2ohms or 4ohms?

I just bought a kole audio kx2-2400 amplifier, on sonic electronix it says 4 gauge recomended can i use a 0 gauge power and ground wire or do they mean you have to use 4? I didn't know if they meant i couldn't use anything smaller than a 4 gauge and that i could only use a 4 gauge... thanks for any information anybody familiar with this brand amplifier?

I want to put my 10o in the room for HT use.....but the spot i have picked out for it it a lil close to the tv....and putting the sub there doesn't create a lot of friendship between the two...is there any way to shield the enclosure/driver so i can use it there....? i can always relocate it....i'm just asking cause i really like how it looks there

What would be louder? Currently have a bl 15 in a 3.1 cu box. I was wondering if two Sa 10's in a walled trunk would sound louder then my one 15? I dont know if this makes any difference but my 15 is firing upwards in the back of my car.

whats going on guys, i need a little advise on amps. a month or so ago i finally blew one of my old 12's after years of abuse. i decided to replace them with the kicker 12 inch cvx's(4ohm). problem is the kickers are literally sucking the life outta my old amps, so iv been lookin to up grade them as well. i really like the kicker zx series but its kinda expensive. my question is. i can buy 2 zx750.1 cheaper than a zx1500.1. would this be the way to go? isnt it the same power? witch would cause a larger draw on my charging system? i dont have much experence with mono block amps. arnt u only suppose to use one speaker on one mono block? someone told me to get the 1500.1 …

Anyone have the Pioneer 3200BT HU? I have had mine for over a year now and I just recently bought the aux in/usb cable to play video from my ipod. Except there is one problem. . . I can't figure out how to get video to play on the HU, I have looked on the unit manual online and the video portion appears to be for a 3200DVD and when I am just using my Ipod it will play the music video's, but once I plug it into my HU I can get audio but no video. Anyone know how to fix this?

After only 1 year my JBL component tweeter died. I am officially done with made in China garbage, this set wasn't even cheap! I replaced them with an MB Quart RVF 269 set I found at a local shop for $140. Made in Germany is on everything, even a sticker on a bag of hardware! This set sounds way better than the JBLs for half the price. I wished they were silk tweeters, but I guess you can't have everything. Now I need to save up another $150 to get that DCON.

So I ordered 25 sqft and I have about 10sqft left.. I did some of the trunk floor, the trunk lid, the top of my back deck and the bottom of the back deck(that's where the rattling/buzzing was coming from.) It sounds pooploads better but where would be a good place to put the rest? I'm thinking doors since I'm putting a comp set in?

Does anyone make decals that is interested in taking care of my companies decal needs? I figured I'd give some business here before looking locally. Kevin
