My friend has an 04 infiniti fx 35 and wanted to know if it is possible for him to keep his stock radio which Is a bose system on a stock 300 watt amp and just change the sub, is this possible or will he have to change out the amp too? Is it that easy, can he just replace both the amp and sub and keep the same radio? he is just looking for more bass to add to his system. I believe it has 11 speakers and 2 subs.

Best friend wants to upgrade his system on his 1999 Jeep Cherokee. $1000 Budget for front comps, subwoofer and box, big 3, door sound deadening, 2 channel, and mono amp. Currently has a headunit. Older alpine not exactly sure right now but i will find out. Not sure if it could run active and i know he wants to keep it simple. Loves House music and also listens to Rap and Rock. Currently he has 2 front and 2 rear alpine type s coaxials running off a headunit with a kenwood mono amp and an alpine type r - a real best buy type of system. Hey Guys.....I have recently purchased a SAZ 1500D and it's powering 2 Powerbass ES 15's in a sealed box. I'm now interested in getting more sound than what I've got now that I have more power. Here's my existing box. I've talked to a guy who's been doing car audio installs for many years. Being that I've got a trunk car and my back seat doesn't lay down, he thought this would be a good design. He said it basically takes all the bass out of my trunk and directs it into my cabin. This may sound kinda newbish but I was wondering if anyone could tell me the formula for getting the true surface area of a sub.

im still learning a bit here with the audio but im curious as to how to match the ohms so im gonna use an example then ask the question. lets say i have these subs.... Two 10" 1200watt subs at 4 ohms and Two 12" 1300watt subs at 4 ohms Now does that mean i need 1 amp with 4 ohms with a splitter that goes into the subs? or would i need 2 amps both with 4 ohms each? or is there something else i can do?? and the amps need to put out enough watts to match the subs right? thanks in advance for any help.

1989 Honda CRX Dx well i pretty much stole this car from this lady that was selling it. I just picked up a 86 oldsmobile cutlass. (should be delivered to my house on sunday may 18) I would like to use the amps I have laying around to save money- they are Phoenix gold Tantrum 250.2 and a Phoenix gold Tantrum 400.4 I listen to everything from rock to rap ,classical, country you name it I listen to it. I was wondering if anyone knew who if anyone made a recone kit for the JL 12w3. I think its probably a v1 or v2 but its dvc. the cone has come separated from the surround lol. And one of my employees wants to make a frankenstein so i figured i'd see if anyone knew of a recone kit for it. thnx

When i calculate it, i get 18.5" total port length, but when the RE Enclosure calculator does it, it gets 19.625. It can't get the double baffle, so shouldn't the RE calculator come up with 17.75" of port length? I just want to make sure that i'm right or that i'm wrong, 'cause i dont see how it could be that far off.

Well I had my first spl reading ever and was fairly happy. My system consists of 4 RE8's in a sealed enclosure that is way to small approximately 1.9 cubic ft total with an OLD RF 800.2. This set up is in my 95 impala ss. Well for my first system I was happy with my 131.8. I have a pic but I am a retard when it comes to posting pics. I was kind of wondering if I was pretty much on par for this setup or am I off a little.

Well I am slowly trying to improve the sound in my 2001 bmw 325i and I think I know the answer but I'm not completely sure. Currently I only have one amp which is powering my subs and then there is the factory amp thats connected to all the factory locations. Since my battery is in the trunk I have a big fuse holder about 1ft away from the battery then it runs to the amp. Today I should be getting some of those PG rds components and when I finally by some sound deadening I will be installing a 4ch amp to run those speakers. Recently i've only been able to play my mids and highs... whenever i turn on the sub my mids and highs will turn off and all u here is very distorted bass from the subwoofer. Now at first i thought it was a ground issue but i checked all of the grounds and they seem to be alright

Keep in mind that I'm a college student and do not have too much money. Basic idea is, the less money I spend the better. However, I do want a system that has nice SQ as well as enough bass that it could make people look my way! You know, maybe at a stoplight or in front of my friends. Yeah i thought that'd get some attention. I've got a freind that has 2 12" MA Hardkore (actually not as bad as i thought theyd be), and he has a Boss 3000 watt amp powering them. I smirked a little when i saw the amp he had on them, and it got me curious, what do you guys think/know the actual rms on this thing is? And how does boss even get away with overrating them so d4mn much? The title is a joke, and only intended to get some attention and maybe get a few people frustrated.
