I just got a Velleman HPS10 and I have no idea how to use it. All I want to do it set my gains on my 2 amps so they don't clip. Can anyone give me a step by step description? Thanks.

im trying to find out if ppl are still useing dynomat or they change to something else? i need to find out whats good out there on the market now kinda sick all the time my bass hit's the car sound like a tin can :|

i was wondering if someone could help me. Im getting 2 saz-3000d amps and i want to strap them to push 2 fi BTL's 15" 1ohm dvc setup. I was wondering how i can wire the woofers to get a 1ohm load so i can get the full 3000 watts from each amp, or do i need to wire them for a 2ohm load so each amp gets a 1ohm load im new to dvc subs so this is why i ask. i want each of the subs to be running at 1 ohm no lower.Any help would be greatful thanks a bunch. also one more question wile im thinking about it i plan on getting a powermaster 200amp or more alt and 2 power master d3100 batts one for each amp and upgrade my stock batt to an optima yellow or red top and also run 2 tsu…

Hey I'm new to car audio, and I have been looking around on the forums, and I decided I want something really simple for my car. I have heard before that port noise can be increased if the port is too close to the sub. Is there any legitimacy to this?

ok heres the scenario say you have 3 subs that each take 1500 watts and you have 2 choices eiter buy 3 amps that put out 1500watts each or 2 amps 1 that does 1500 watts and the other does 3000 watts..would there be anything retarded about option 2 with the 2 amps?

i just got a return email from power master and said they can only do a 300 alt for me if its a pure spl truck since its a daily driver they the biggest they can make is 200amp for $639 ea said they can make me a 300amp alt for $500 now i know thats a 100 more amps for $139 cheaper..but i also know its not all numbers in this hobby..is powermaster that much better that i can go with less amps and pay more or should i go with EA?

Ive been looking into subs for a few months now and i still dont understand alot of it. just got my liscence and am bound to get a car soon. basically i want something that would be really really loud but i dont have unlimited money. i litsen to pretty much all rap and hip-hop. i was lookin at getting one 15" btl cause it seems like one of the best out there. if i were to get this what would you recomend as far as an enclousure and amp and anything else. if you think theres a better sub or something different i should get im up for all suggesrtions. thanks in advance

Currently I drive a 00 Sunfire with no sound deadening, crappy walmart Sony Xlpodes for components, stock HU, and chitty duals. I did build my own box for the duals and they sound a lot better than they did in the box they came in, but my system still sucks. I'm limited on cash being a college student and all, but I don't want to skimp on stuff just because. I'd rather save up for something nice if I have to. Also, I SQ is my main concern. I mostly listen to rap and would really like to enjoy my music, and with thoughts of getting an in-dash DVD unit, that's something to think about too. Ok just wondering if anyone knew a song that will play 30hz or close to it for 30+ seconds. My friend needs one for meca drive by and being that many people do bassrace or similar thought someone might know. The song needs to be a constant note and not fluctuate between notes. Thanks

I was at my local shop today. Now, this shop is pretty popular around town. It's a small shop but a lot of 1st and 2nd place bass race and spl comp guys come out of this shop and compete at Carl Casper. There show room is flooded with trophies right now so you would think that they have a LOT of info in the audio world. While i am researching for the best subs that would meet my application, i was just curious as to what they would suggest me. They sell off the top of my head - Alpine, Soundstream, Powerbass, JBL and a couple others but nothin bigger than them that i remember. Well i bought a hk4000d and have heard they are current hogs... im going to be running it at 2 ohms to a 18" BL... probably around 1600 watts (or whatever is safe to run to a BL). I have a stock 130A alternator, and a run of 1/0 to my amp... ill be doing the big 3 soon. What type of electrical upgrades do i need? A HO alternator is out of the question because apparantly toyota used some special design for my truck (06 tundra) and the cheapest ive found is a 175A for 600

My buddy recently purchased a set of Adire Koda Components. The woofer is going to be placed in the stock door locations. We are just wondering about the tweeter placement. The stock tweeter location is on top of the dash reflecting off the windshield. I know the Kodas work good off axis so I figured the windshield could work well. Any objections or suggestions?

I have a 2000 Max with the bose system i change the hu, and i added 2 12's american bass :| i dont know if they good but they hit ok my problem is when ever i turn on the car i get motor wined drivin me crazy and when i turn off the car the subs make a boom soundi dunno if its my amp/wirein/radio aint help/tips is gratefull.
