well, just got my response from Madisound and will be getting some of their stuff now. I'm looking into the Peerless and LPG stuff, but think i should get them over Seas or Morel???? I'll try one now and then the others later but whats a better company to start with?

i've got a nine.1 for my 12's, and an orion 8004 im going to power an alumapro alc 6.2 component set with. im planning on running the mids off 2 channels and the tweets off the other 2. im thinking of buying these rca's http://cgi.ebay.com/Stinger-4-Channe...QQcmdZViewItem but i didnt know if it was cool to use a 4 channel set like that with 2 of them running the components (split with a stinger helix y cord on each one, so the mids and tweets will both be playing the front channel) and the other 2 used for the bass on the nine.1. they should be fully shielded so this is cool right? also how do i want to wire the amp up? i just bridge 2 of the channels with the 4 ohm mids…

well it looks like it'll be awhile before i get a 12 for the grand am, some issues came up and i won't have money for awhile. so untill then i decided to make a box for the atlas to get the most out of it. right now its in a 2.5cf sealed box with 1 pound of pollyfill, it gets decently loud and low but i need more. heres my dilema though after i get a new sub im gonna make the atlas an HT sub so i need an enclosure that will play low well. so i was thinking either going with a 4cf "regular" ported box tuned to 30hz or have someone design me a t-line. my only worry is how will a t-line work in a trunk car and how much space would i have to give. max i would be able to fit …

So, i was driving down the road today with the subs playing, not quite at full tilt but pretty loud and all of a sudden a rattle starting coming from the box, and a lack of volume did as well. This is a bandpass so the front of the subs are not visible, but you can see the rear of the subs by looking through the aeroports. The rattle seems to come from the bottom of one of the port walls i can visibly see vibrating. This is not the first time the port has come loose but this is the first time there has been a lack of volume. These are two alpine type r 12"s off of an old school lightening audio 1000d. So I ordered 25 sqft and I have about 10sqft left.. I did some of the trunk floor, the trunk lid, the top of my back deck and the bottom of the back deck(that's where the rattling/buzzing was coming from.) It sounds pooploads better but where would be a good place to put the rest? I'm thinking doors since I'm putting a comp set in?

I want to ground 0gauge to frame on my quad cab ram.. I dont want to ground to underseat bolts or any area from the inside of cab. The shortest length from mount to frame rail is 1.5 ft to inside cab. My idea was to have a bolt weldeld to frame closest to my wire entry to cab. Is 3or 4ft ok for a ground wire at zero gauge..

Hey guys i know i may sound like a straight noob i apologize before hand but this is really driving me crazy!! I have gone step by step one for one and have isolated that the radio is the cause of the issue or the alternator, i have tried running new rca's from the head unit, ive tried pulling the eq out of the equation but still the same noise. I have tried different radios: older alpine 9887 or something like that, a walmart pioneer deck, and just today an alpine cde-123 and still the same thing!! Hello, I'm a car installer at a local shop. Me and a couple guys recently put front speakers and rear speakers into a 09 honda civic. The problem we are having is that the rear speakers are very very faint in volume. The rear speakers are hitting very hard with bass, it's just that the sound is very low. Also, when we turn the volume from the factory radio down to 4 the clean sweet unit unit just shuts off. We have the clean sweet unit hooked up through the factory amp. We installed component speakers in the front and rear. Any ideas?

So i blew my morel supremo's.. 440$. Nice. Anyway what other tweeters are out there that sound great but are cheaper. I was on madisound and was looking at other morel drivers. The tweeters are so much cheaper then what i paid for these supremo's. I still want to get them but they are expensive and now i am questioning if they are worth it. Any tweeter recommendations would be appreciated. I am running a pioneer 9800 headunit off a sundown 100.4 amp. My mids are SEA excel's.

Hi everyone! since my bax is built, it looks kinda naked. I don't want to do the standard carpeting and was thinking about trying something different. I thought about using a roll-on bed liner. Does anyone have experience with this stuff? Any pros or cons? Thanks

ok so i have 2 treo te 15's in a ported box it hits real hard on high bass notes sounds ok on mid notes but sounds like garbage on low notes wut should i do? smaller port? smaller sealed box? i sealed this box one day it hit great on lows but not worth a shit on mid notes or high notes btw my music of choice is rap/hiphop and occasionally some heavy metal

just a thought what would you think would be the highest db set up with the lowest amperage draw. Basically the most efficient system with the highest db's I was wondering what was on the other side of the spectrum.

Sorry for the nooby question guys but it has been a while. If I have a amplifier that puts out 150x2 at 4 ohms and 190x2 at 2 ohms when you bridge the channels together for 380 RMS does it go to 2ohms or 4ohms?

Hi, i new to the forums and would for my first post to ask something that even after being around car stereo often i still dont understand.... which is Ohms... say i have a subwoofer that i run at 2ohms with a amp that can run 1000 watts at 2ohms... then i have the same subwoofer that i am running at 1ohm and a amp with 1000 watts running at 1ohm... just the change in ohm with no change to either the sub or amp will the sound be any different or would it be the same? any input helps thanks in advance!

i have an s10 and it has bags with 2 viar 380 comps and im getting a fosgate 1500x1 and wondering if i should get a 200 amp or a 160 amp alt for the truck. i belive the fosgate is like 140 and the comps pull like 30 amps. ive done the big 3 with 1/0 and got a yellow top this is the last thing to order.
