First of all i wanna say sorry about all the post,i just wanna get opinions before i buy thats all.I have never heard hifonics but i have watched videos and it seems to do pretty good.would it be a good amp to run 2 ssa icon 12"inch woofers?the amp is the 2010d rated at 2000 watts, is that true 2000 watts that its putting out?

If I wanted to divide my rectangular port right down the center for some extra bracing, will my port length have to stay the same or does it change since I technically have 2 seperate ports now???

First off I have been wanting to try out new subs so a couple months ago I started a thread asking which subs you guys would recommend for my application and two 12" Icons seemed to be the most strongly suggested. Right now I'm running a RD Alpha 12" (2000 rms) sub on a Cadence ZRS-8 amp (1500rms @ 1 ohm) in a 2011 Mazda 3 sedan in a box tuned @ 33hz. The sub does get decently loud on bass heavy songs but if it's heavy metal or pretty fast beats, it doesn't hit as hard, but still has a little bump to it. My question is, if I order two 12" Icons, and if I put one of the subs in my current box while I work on building the box to hold 2 subs, will I get the same output or is…

Hey everyone. I have two 10" type R's in a ported box being pushed by a sundown saz-1000d. i wanted to do some experimenting by inverting my subs to see if more air space would give me better/bigger sound. only problem is one of them would be hanging right over my saz-1000d. would the magnet on the type r interfere with my amp? I'd hate to lose it to a dumb experiment. I hope i can get an educated answer, but if everyone is uncertain ill just keep away. thankyou much!

Is it safe to put a ground under the carpet, or do i have to cut a hole around the ground? Also, i watched an instructional video on grounding a long time ago, and i remember the guy putting 3 or 4 screws in the ring terminal to keep it down. Is that alright, or do i have to bolt? I'm putting the ground (1/0) where my jack used to be under the backseat of my dodge ram. I know its safe to drill there because there are bolts already there for a bracket to hold the jack.

just lucked out and hopped on craigslist this afternoon and managed to happen upon a sweet deal for 2 SSA DCON 15s in a 7 cubes sealed box so I finally have ssa subs now all I need is a financial aid refund to get everything else and decide if im keeping one sub and selling everything else or keeping both and just redoing the box since it wont fit right in the jeep these things are so much nicer up close then in pictures lol the build quality looks awesome I just cant wait to hear them too bad it might be a few months

Anyone know where I can find some .25" FEMALE quick disconnect speaker wire terminals that will accept 8 guage wire? I've searched to no avail, but I HAVE purchased some before. I cannot find them anywhere.

i am currently installing a 15 bl loaded with a fosgate t100bd and would like to no where to mount my ground wires such as ground strap from motor batt and amp cause i drive a 2002 nissan sentra gxe and its a unibody where would be a good place to ground to and if it would help i have all the 1/0awg i need any help will be great thanks ooo and would the stock locations work and just go to 1/0awg wiring?

Hey guys im in the process of taking out my system in my truck. Well i took out the three batteries and all my amps and subs i have in my cab and when i went to start the car it wouldnt turn on. My volt meter was reading like 8. something volts and to turn it on i have to have it jumped. Any suggestions on what it could be. My fuses by the battery under the hood looked fine. The alt is fine as well it idles at like 13.7 volts. thanks.

Hey, I've got a fella that lives a few hours away that wants me to build a box for his 03 Ford ZX2, However I don't have anyway to measure out the trunk and to get him to understand and tell me the correct dimensions isn't gonna happen... My 15" ssd and my box weigh a ton and its bringing my rear end down a lot.. I am thinking of downgrading to a lighter setup.. like a cvr 12 for example in a 1.5cuft sealed box, but I am keeping the kicker 750 ill just keep the gain down. Would it be terrible? I'm not a bass addict I just need some kind of low end so I don't go crazy.

Has anyone owned or used the creative zen mp3 players? I am considering the X-Fi2 touchscreen model as an alternative to an iPod (i've had 6 iPods; all of em broke) Main concerns are sound quality, how loud it can get, and functionality. I installed 90% of my system with the two batts in the back and i have a few questions. 1. my subs are dual 1 ohm can i wire each to .5 ohm from each terminal on the enclosure to have a end result of 1 ohm at the amp? 2. when grounding the two batts in the back and i ground them to and metal part or the car. (i have to ground them to each side of the trunk) 3. can i ground both batts on the same plane? 4. i put the two main fuses in just to see of the amp will turn on...no luck. does everything has to be grounded and connected before the amp turn on? 5. i attached the remote wire to the blue wire with the white line that's coming from the harness..is that good enough? 6.…

I haven't posted on here in awhile, so figured I would give a quick review of my newly installed setup. Vehicle is a 2003 S-10 extended cab. Decided to switch to Kenwood with this install and running a DNX6980 receiver. Front stage consists of a Focal Access three way setup with the midbass in the stock door location and the mids and tweets in the dash. Running this off of a Boss Havoc that I purchased from the group buy on here two years ago. For now I am just running them off two channels, and using the other two channels to power my pair of 12" DCON's.
