So I finally figured out roughly what I will be doing, probably a single 15" BL ported. How should I position these in my trunk. I know the typical is subs and ports facing the rear of the car. More than likely I will almost always have the back seats down, should this affect the way I point my subs and port. Should I go subs facing forward with port foward if my seats are always down, or subs facing the rear of the car and port facing the front of the car. Thanks for the help and patience with me.

Well, I have finally got a "newer" version of my dream car, a dodge charger. I have no real clue what to do when it comes to audio. I have pretty much always had Best Buy style stuff in my vehicles, last one being 2 RF P3's ported. I want something that will take as little room as possible and still get loud, lookin more at LSQ. I was thinking about doing maybe a 15 or 2 using an IB setup, but have never really seen a IB build and am not sure where to start. I do know that I have to sound deaden the entire trunk. Heads up, more than likely my back seats will always be folded down. Or will I benefit more from a sealed setup. I am not entirely sure. Any help would …

Okay, just brainstorming here... Say I had two D1 subs. I could series wire the coils on each to 2 ohms, then parallel subs to 1 ohm. Or... I could parallel coils to .5 ohms, then series to 1 ohm. But... Could I wire one set of coils in parallel, to .5 ohms, and the other set of coils to 2 ohms, then wire them in series for... .4 ohms? Or is it not good to use different subs...

Already ive had this setup in my mind for a while now. The reason for doing this is that I travel alot and sometimes might need my whole trunk. So when im about to go to travel all i would have to do is simply unhook the speaker wires from the sub and now that my amps will be safe. I know alot of people like to have there amps mounted to the back of the seats but if i need to fold my seats down or have stuff in the trunk that might damage the amps i do not want that to happen. Just wondering everyones opinion on how this setup would work. Would they be safe under there? And remain stable when going over speed bumps ect Well here is what i had in mind edit: also does it…

I just got 2 20" subs of ebay for real cheap. The subs are a brand called reempower. i can't really find any info on them. I was wondering if anyone could help me with a box size for these subs. I am going to have them ported at 30hz and was wondering what an appropriate enclosure size should be.

Alright got my SAZ3000 in today, all installed.. went to set gains and couldn't get any voltage out of the amp.. 39volts is what I got with gain all the way up.. aiming for 50 (3000watts). Lowpass was set fine, subsonic wasn't set too high, bass was on the HU. Pretty stumped right now. Also the subs are at 1 ohm.

Alright, i'm running a fosgate p450.4 bridged on a set of polk db comps, and a fosgate p1000-1bd (1230 at 1 ohm out of the box). My alty went out shortly before I put in the new system, so I upgrade to a 130 amp alternator, if i had more money at the time would have went larger. I also got an optima yellow-top. My lights are dimming like mad, and the sub is running a little warm, it's a 15" Q with bp power so i know i'm not over-driving it. i'm guessing lucky to get 900 watts to it after voltage loss. I know i need to upgrade and should add a second battery so here's the real question... It was my thought that optima yellow-top's were basically the best battery out t…

  20. Just for example...I want to run 4 subs off a monoblock amp with 2 channels of amplification. If I run 2 subs wired in series to get my desired ohm load. Say I'm putting out 500 watts to one channel of power, do both subs see 500 watts? or is it changed a little?

  21. Moderators - if this post violates any rules please delete it and let me know. Thanks Guys, I have not been able to compete in SQ competitions or get to any car shows for the last year because of my job. So, I've decided to sell my SQ BMW. I have it listed on E46fanatics BMW Link But I really want the car to go to a car audio enthusiast which is why I am posting this here. I am a member of CYV forum and also have the car listed there. It is at a lower price on the CYV site CYV Link than on other sites and anyone from SSA will get the CYV price. Thanks, Bob

Well, I usually stay away from all the local shops, there about 5. But I was bored so I went around yesterday to see whats new. Theres one shop thats actually pretty knowledgeable/cool. A old guy at Autosoundaddiction(VERN) We were sitting around talking, this kid comes in with a 15" Team RF fosgate(sweet SPL 4hp sub) the dustcap was loose, but he was sure it needed to be sent to the factory for "repairs" Tested the coils, their fine. Vern says " I have some CA glue in the back I'll just glue the dustcap back down and you'll be good, save you a couple hundred" The kids like no"I don't want it half assed, it needs all new parts." WOW I tried to tell him, that its jus…
