I can get a Fi SSD 12" or a IA Lethal Injection 15" for about the same price. Which one would you recommend for a small sealed box with 1100x1 @ 2ohms which is what my boston gt28 amp puts out. ???

In my enclosure when the guy made it, they put a hole for the wires and just put the wires in a put a little tack to seal it up. How much of an effect would this have all together and should I take further precautions to fix this? When I was using the box it didn't sound bad personally, but thats completely subjective.

Okay, i basically have 2 questions here. The first question is about my factory stereo and connecting an amp in a 2008 Honda Accord. I'm not sure but i'm hoping someone on these forums know if i can connect the amp directly to the stereo itself, or will i need a product such as JL Audio CleanSweep adapter to connect the amp to and then run that to the back of the deck? I know it would be easier to get a whole new deck but that isnt an option right now. My second question is that this car does not come in with an ipod input! it does come with an auxiliary input but i would like to control the ipod straight from the dash and not hassle around with the ipod. Does anyone kno…

Alright, I have just ordered a 1500d amp and plan on buying a 18" FI BTL. Now, my question is, if I want to use the single 1500d with the sub and then eventually buy another and stack them both on it, what type of vc setup should i order the sub with? Is there any way to get maximum performance untill and after I get a second 1500d? Also, what type of wattage would I be getting from two 1500d's at the ohmage you suggest. Thanks very much!

Im having an issue with my mids and highs cutting out when turned up to higher volumes. I dont know if its a problem with the install or a problem with the equipment it self. But I do know that it should be able to be louder than what it is without cutting out. I got Rockford t2s and a Rockford t400.4 any advice?

I've been pondering this for a while.... Should I sell the RL-p 12" and pick up 4 RL-i 8's instead and run the amp at 2 ohms, giving each 8 ~250W? Thoughts?

whats the best way to do this? run an isolator or not? I was told by a stereo repair man its best not to run an isolator, just make a run of pos. and ground it, that way both batteries are constantly charging and avail. for current draw from the amps. I'm not well versed in this area... help.

I am getting ready to do a full install on my trailblazer SS. Its currently just stock Bloes system with factor 6disc in dash. I am planning on running an Eclipse 726E for the HU and from there is where i'm not sure. I auditioned a car yesterday with Mclass Memphis MCC6. It had some great puch to it when every you would hear the drummer hit the bass pedal. It was not coming from the sub as much as it was coming from the woofers in the doors and the rear deck lid. He has his running off of a JBL MS-8. I am sold on the MS-8, that really blew me away. Well, I had wanted to run Focal 165 KR2's, but got to listen to a set of Kr2P's today that didnt do much for me, but the way …

Randomly as Im driving listening to my system which consists of: Head.: Pioneer 7800MP Front: CDT HD-62/DRT26s/EX-560i F.Amp: Arc Audio 2100 CXL Subw.: Ascendant Audio 10" Assassin S.Amp: US Amps XT-800.2 My highs will just cutout. However, they'll come back on if I turn the volume up. The arc 2100 was bought used from ebay, and im thinking that's my culprit. Not too sure. What do you think?

Ok here is something I came to. People buy the most exspensive batteries and high output alternators, and still experience voltage drop at 11 volts and steady decline. What do most people do to solve voltage drop.

Hello all. So I just sold a sub for the first time and I need to ship it safely. Its a 10" Icon and I still have the original box that it came in, I also still have the 4 pieces of foam that were used to keep the sub from moving during shipping. My question is, how do I reattach those pieces of foam safely and securely? I am worried that just gluing them back in place is just not a good solution, I feel that they would come loose too easily. My other thought is to cut out pieces of cardboard/foam the size of the box and stack them until it secures the sub in place. I am worried if I use cardboard there is potential to damage the surround. So any ideas, suggestions o…

I hope that I am posting this in the right place. I have 2006 Honda Odyssey EX that has the 6 CD changer and XM capable stereo. I have heard that it may be possible to connect a device that will allow me to "hard wire" my iPod, using that XM connection. Can anyone tell me exactly what I would need to make this happen? I am not looking for anything fancy really, just to be able to use my iPod without using an FM transmitter. I don't know jack about car audio, but I have a friend who says he can help me install it once we find the exact right part. Can anyone help me? PK
