So I've bought several CDs over the past 18 months or so and can't figure out what the damn problem is. I have a 5 or so year old Sony CD player that I use until I get my stereo install done, and it won't play almost any of my newer purchases. It acts like the laser can't properly pick up the tracks. It spends about 30 seconds glitching out making odd noises while the laser tries to lock onto the track, then errors out. Normally I'd tack it up to the tracking mechanism or laser pickup going out, but I can toss any one of my older CDs in and it works just fine. It's only the newer CDs that it has problems with. alright. i have a pair of the old school kicker 15's there in almost perfect cond, i say almost because one of the dust covers is pushed in very little. very little, but there thick dust cover you maybe able to massage it out. there 8 ohm each. i have them in a box and wired for4 ohms at the amp. im not trying to sell them here john so hold on .......... ,my question is... how much do you think there worth o yeah i bought them new in box i had them put away in the dark cool area for years!. the saround is rubber and its not glued its stitch. reason for selling.. i had them for my lil brother... but he bought a mustang and its a no go.

Hey well I was wondering if someone could design a box for 2 12" Mmats P2.5 its not for me but a friend and he keeps insisting on buying a prefab box or just having the guy build him one but the audio shops here suck ballz so I was just going to give my friend the design to take to the guy to build you know? For most of the enclosures iv seen, they have separate chambers for each sub. Is this the way it is recommended to be done? Or will it also work with having both subs sealed in one box? Im simply trying to expand my knowledge about box building and I know you guys will help.

Just a ? I had on my mine at work....not like I'm going to do it but in the future I might...."how would you run multiple amps for subs like 6 subs , 6 amps." With out using y split...would you just keep linking the amps or is the something that you can buy and send a signal to that and the other side will send out multiple signals on the other side....I think I just answer my own question....newbie remember that

So a friend told me about line drivers and i was wondering should i be using one? is the advantage they offer that great? and why would i need one? like if i run a dmm over my rca and they are getting around 1volt should i be using a line driver to help out my rca so i don't have to turn my gains so high? also do i need one for all my rca's (fronts, rears, subs?). also do yo use one? I finally got around to actually designing a ported box for 1 12" Memphis PR. I played around on reaudio.com playing with numbers and made a box to my specs. The person I'm making it for listens to mostly rap and hip-hop. What should the box be tuned to? Memphis's specs 2.00 / 45 / 12.5 x 2 x 19. Any help would be greatly apprecitated

ok so i traded my friend the orions, i got from nccj, for these pioneer subs i got from bb a while back(basiclly i sold him those too and got them back) and he gave me 50bux(in change ) but anyway, i have my PA 3000db, calculated a lil bit, and came up wt these numbers ohms watts gain 8 200 4 1100 900 2 1800 700 1 2300 500 0.5 2550 250 Now the subs are rated at 150rms per sub, so 300total. So i have them in series and thier both 4ohms so it should be 8ohms total. I'm scared to turn them up loud because i dont want to blow them cuz im gonna giv them to my g/f once my subs come in.
