I finally got around to actually designing a ported box for 1 12" Memphis PR. I played around on reaudio.com playing with numbers and made a box to my specs. And FWIW, you can download the caculator to you computer, by going to the parent directory... http://reaudio.com/speaker_box/ Here is what I have now... The person I'm making it for listens to mostly rap and hip-hop. What should the box be tuned to? Memphis's specs 2.00 / 45 / 12.5 x 2 x 19. Any help would be greatly apprecitated

Hello guys, just to let you know some scores with SSA subs this week end. A friend of mine did 145.2 dbs at 44 Hz IIRC, with 2 Xcon 15" on 4 saz1000 amps. It was his first time metering on a Termlab. Sensor on the windshield, on the right side. He was very pleased with that score, for a non spl setup. His box is 4 ft3 per sub, tuned to 30 Hz. Another one did 140.1 with an SSA Icon 15" in a 3.5 ft3 box tuned to 32 Hz.. The amp was a Digital Design M1 (I think so). The spl record for the week end is 150.something. But with a "pure" spl setup : wall, no mids&highs ! I don't know what subs and what amps were playing. I'll try to meter my car soon. I know a guy with a Te…

my question is these 15" juggernauts i came across are 1500 rms. i know these are competition speakers and they can handle alot so i was wondering if anybody knows or have seen what kind of amps or power they have pushed them, and how much wattage is needed for them to sound good? they are 1.4 ohm speakers so i dont know if it would be better to go with an 1ohm or 2ohm amp or amps?

What's up all, Here's my situation that's kind of annoying. Randomly as Im driving listening to my system which consists of: Head.: Pioneer 7800MP Front: CDT HD-62/DRT26s/EX-560i F.Amp: Arc Audio 2100 CXL Subw.: Ascendant Audio 10" Assassin S.Amp: US Amps XT-800.2 My highs will just cutout. However, they'll come back on if I turn the volume up. The arc 2100 was bought used from ebay, and im thinking that's my culprit. Not too sure. What do you think?

(literally a browser window) So I was looking at amps as I always do... I just love fcking looking at them.... pricing out what I like and then starting all over again... Recently went to woofersetc and found this company 'Wet Sounds' The pricing is around the same ball park of ZED Audio... These are "marine" products apparently but they look pretty nice. Anyone ever heard of them before? They pretty much make everything.. A $700 subwoofer is available too... GEEZ!!!

basically, i've had a major drop in bass in my car. i have 2 fi BLs and 2 kicker 1000w amps. initially, i had trouble with my iPod cable(dock to aux cord , the 7$ one from ebay) so i bought a new one. well now all of a sudden, my cds have also lost the quality. the stock speakers in the door hit harder as of right now. when i turn the knob all the way and put the volume up, i finally get what i should be getting at about 1/4 turned. i looked at the amps thinking 1 of them was dead and they both were fine. i dont really know much about wiring but will probably read up on it 2morrow since i will have some free time to look at it, but this is what basically happens http://pi…

I've been pondering this for a while.... Should I sell the RL-p 12" and pick up 4 RL-i 8's instead and run the amp at 2 ohms, giving each 8 ~250W? Thoughts?

  20. So I've bought several CDs over the past 18 months or so and can't figure out what the damn problem is. I have a 5 or so year old Sony CD player that I use until I get my stereo install done, and it won't play almost any of my newer purchases. It acts like the laser can't properly pick up the tracks. It spends about 30 seconds glitching out making odd noises while the laser tries to lock onto the track, then errors out. Normally I'd tack it up to the tracking mechanism or laser pickup going out, but I can toss any one of my older CDs in and it works just fine. It's only the newer CDs that it has problems with. Sometimes if I mess with it for 10-15 minutes either by…

Alright considering pickin up another sundown 3000, and it got me thinking of bigger subs. Anyways, how does subs up port back work in a trunk car? I have 2 15s now, and considering 2 18s, but the subs would have to be facing up for this to work.

I'm really uncomfortable with this question as I dont want to feel needy. But I think a while back I seen someone say that had another member build them a box. Not sure though. But if that person did build a box I was wanting to know how much they would charge for box I need and what would be the Pickup/Shipping terms. Thanks In Advance ~MadroX *Edit* Im pretty sure I posted this in the wrong Area...... My Bad

  24. ok so my first issue is that i have found a usa company that builts box, for these trucks behind the seat, im going with 8s on this build.... so the options are 3 8s sealed or 2 8s ported im leaning to sealed as he listens to country ,. the issue i am having is finding out how much space is left between the back of the seat and the box.. so i can make sure the subs wont hit... im looking at the sundown SD 8s or the sundown E8v-2 if there is not much space left./ has anyone done an install on a crewcab 2008-2013?
