hey im new her as well as to making my own boxes. kinda having problems i have a pioneer premier ts-w3001d4 and i want to make a 1.2cu ft vented box. can someone help me out here im so damn lost its not even funny. i want to make it out of 5/8 mdf as well can someone help me please?

my friend has a 2001 s10 xcab and wonts to pound the groung he has a budget of $2500 and needs everthing--hu-amps-mids-hi--subs--box---what we have now is a used 225amp alt-$100.00 and 3-kinetik 800's-$275.00 new got a good deal--he's looking at a hifonics xxv colossus-$550.00--tell me what you think would be a good setup for the truck--he has $2125.00 left to spend let us no what you think

i wanted to put a yellow top in my car and it wont fit only optima battery that work and fit is a red top are red tops any good? Im runnin 1250w kicker amp 2 two pos 12's.

In my enclosure when the guy made it, they put a hole for the wires and just put the wires in a put a little tack to seal it up. How much of an effect would this have all together and should I take further precautions to fix this? When I was using the box it didn't sound bad personally, but thats completely subjective.

ok so my first issue is that i have found a usa company that builts box, for these trucks behind the seat, im going with 8s on this build.... so the options are 3 8s sealed or 2 8s ported im leaning to sealed as he listens to country ,. the issue i am having is finding out how much space is left between the back of the seat and the box.. so i can make sure the subs wont hit... im looking at the sundown SD 8s or the sundown E8v-2 if there is not much space left./ has anyone done an install on a crewcab 2008-2013?

Which type is the best to use when soldering ring terminals and etc.

Just a curious thought. Say I had a dual 4ohm speaker but my amp performs best at 1ohm. Can I add an inline resistor to the speaker to drop the ohm load to the amp? The sub is 1500 watts rms and the amp is 1500 watts rms at 1ohm. I thopught I would throw this up to see if it would be a simple solution for a 1 sub 1 amp setup

So I've bought several CDs over the past 18 months or so and can't figure out what the damn problem is. I have a 5 or so year old Sony CD player that I use until I get my stereo install done, and it won't play almost any of my newer purchases. It acts like the laser can't properly pick up the tracks. It spends about 30 seconds glitching out making odd noises while the laser tries to lock onto the track, then errors out. Normally I'd tack it up to the tracking mechanism or laser pickup going out, but I can toss any one of my older CDs in and it works just fine. It's only the newer CDs that it has problems with. So..... I recently Installed a new headunit into my car and I had a Sundown SAE-1200D hooked up to it. The headunit was an Alpine iDA-X200 and it worked fine for a couple hours. Then this weird popping noise kept happening..... After a couple more hours this noise was so bad that the amp kept going into protection. No matter what head-unit or amp I use the same thing happens and I have no idea what the FUCK is going on!!!!! Also, the headunit works fine with out the RCA cables and can play other peoples systems through the RCA cable when wired into my car and the amp can also play when hooked up directly to an I-POD. PLEASE HELP!

Ok here is a serious question and I would love everyone who veiws opinion. There are three sets of 6.5'' components, you can only choose 1. Alpine SPX-17PRO (Type X) Kicker 04SS65.2 Kicker 10QS65.2 Here is my issue, yeah i actually ordered all three, its a long story but end result is i own all 3 sets. just need to know wich i should use. I actually have a set of the older Type -X in the truck now, and they are amazing. But I have heard alot of good about all three. Here is what I am looking for. I want Loud Crisp mids and highs...i mean LOUD, but with out distortion. Just let me know!

I'm really uncomfortable with this question as I dont want to feel needy. But I think a while back I seen someone say that had another member build them a box. Not sure though. But if that person did build a box I was wanting to know how much they would charge for box I need and what would be the Pickup/Shipping terms. how many watts is hifonics amps over rated

I finally got around to actually designing a ported box for 1 12" Memphis PR. I played around on reaudio.com playing with numbers and made a box to my specs. And FWIW, you can download the caculator to you computer, by going to the parent directory... http://reaudio.com/speaker_box/ Here is what I have now... The person I'm making it for listens to mostly rap and hip-hop. What should the box be tuned to? Memphis's specs 2.00 / 45 / 12.5 x 2 x 19. Any help would be greatly apprecitated

How do you test the voice coils of a sub with a dmm might be gettin some used ones need to test

Recently went to woofersetc and found this company 'Wet Sounds' The pricing is around the same ball park of ZED Audio... These are "marine" products apparently but they look pretty nice. Anyone ever heard of them before? They pretty much make everything.. A $700 subwoofer is available too... GEEZ!!!

i have a 98"GMC ext truck that im going to wall off soon. i was wondering what set up would be better. 2 SSA Zcon 18s 2250w rms each= 4500w rms 4 SSA Icon 15s 1250w rms each= 5000w rms i have room to build either set up and lets assume i have the alt, amps n batts to push it..
