Hey guys, I just ordered myself an AA mayhem 12" and I am currently waiting on it. In the meantime I have been looking for a box to put it in. I immediately went over to the Khaotic enclosures to see what they had for a ported single 12. At first I found exactly what I was looking for, A low tuned box, Nicely built, For a good price. Hi guys, Hope this is in the right section?? Brand new to the forum, just trying to find out if this HU is any good?? Can't find any reviews online? Made a MASSIVE school boy error today and bought one of these along with an alpine 12 disc changer..... I didn't realise this was a cassette receiver as the model number wasn't in the Ad, all the info I had was it was 4x60 watts and I stupidly assumed it was one of the higher end alpines even if it was old!! I got a friend to collect it, I would have checked if I'd have gone, but it was actually advertised as cd player & cd changer!! It's only cost me £50 for the 2 units, I'm just wondering how good the sound quality is …

What do you think i should get in terms of 6x9's and a sub and amp and head unit.

Yesterday I went out to buy polyfill and I bought a box that says "Premium Polyester Fiberfill." Is Fiberfill the same thing as polyfill? I picked the box up at wal-mart and it was sitting next to the bags of polyfill. When I got home I noticed that it said fiberfill. I just want to know if I have to go return it and get the right stuff, or is this the same thing with different wording?

First off I'd like to say hello, first time posting outside Fi / Argent Audio forums... So don't mind my retarded question, for I am new... Question would have to be, is there a aftermarket mount or something I can install to keep the rear view mirror on my windshield solid and firm, and if not, at least to stop it from doing the goonie's truffle shuffle. If I cant keep it solid, maybe something to absorb most of the movement. Running SAZ1000D & 15' Fi BT, has as good knock to it... Thanks, Dustin

Hi everyone. I finally got my system installed and want to take a vid of it to post on here. My question is what kind of cameras work well for good sound reproduction? video cam? or point and shoot with a vid option? I see alot of vids shot by cell phones and in my opinion are a bit annoying and doesn't do anyone any good. So without putting a mortgage on my home to afford a good video camera, I was just curious as to what others around here are using. Thanks!

what would be the minimum amount of space i need in between the back of the sub and the back of the box in a sealed enclosure?

Alright well to start, I'm an experienced music producer/recording engineer. I'm starting to incorporate my music into my car audio hobby. I've been making a few bass tracks to test out and demo with in my car. My question: What's a good program to use to find peak frequencies in a song? I'm going to start finding this out in my bass songs and posting them up here on the forum for people to use and test out. Also, I'd like some feedback, and maybe videos of people using them.

I was wondering if i should do another run of wire from the alt to the bat? This is for my second alt to the batteries in the trunk. Right now i have a single T30001bd amp and a single run of 2/0 and i was looking at getting a second T30001bd amp. If i go ahead and get the second amp should i do a second run of wire?

Hey guys, I would love to get into competing one day, and I have a question for you audio ethusiats. I have a few old "spare" vehicles around my house.... 2 trucks,and a van. One is single cab other is extended. Not my question is, which would you chose to work on. The van, or one of the trucks with a blowthrough. Been having a hard time locking in a sub stage. Was all set on the AQ HDC312 D2 to run off a MB Quart DSC2000.1D, when I decided that it was not going to be enough. They are great subs that get loud, don't get me wrong. I would recomend them in a heartbeat, but I just don't think I will get what I'm looking for out of them. Put In Some Damplifier And Luxery Liner This Weekend From Second Skin Audio. When All The Interior/Carpet Was Ripped Out, I Got A look At The Underneath Side Of The Rear Deck. It Currently Has 2 Stock 6X9's That Go Pretty loud For The Fact That There Stock. Theres Also 2 Square Cutouts Next To The Where I Will Be Putting My ID 6.5 CTX's I Dont Really Know much About 6.5's Besides The Popular Brands Out There; Rockford, Kicer Etc Etc. What Would You Pair The Image Dynamics With? Each Set Will Have Its Own 100.2 Powering Them

ive given up trying to fit my 18btl into my 86 monte. i would either have to fire into the trunk(eww) or lose all of my trunk. so im thinking about switching to 2 ssd 15's which will let me keep about 8 cubes of trunk space. the ssd's should be better for sq but still get down and play hard. i was going to feed the fair a clean 2000 watts at 1 ohm. should i get them loaded or just leave them stock. if i get them loaded can they take more power. (daily)

Hey guys I have a little project I need help with. I recently purchased a new head unit with a monitor, replacing my old Pioneer 4000UB with iPod control. The new unit only has RCA Aux-In and does not offer iPod integration. What I am trying to accomplish is have my iPod play audio output through the sound system (two amps - one for mids/highs and one for subs) independent of the head unit, so I can play videos/movies on the head unit while still having the option to listen to a different track than what's being outputted from the movie... if that makes sense. It would be an easy solution to plug the iPod directly to the Aux-In of the head unit but then the screens would…

I've been looking at posts lately of people putting 8's in there doors and have noticed that pretty much everyone seems to glass the door panel and mount the speaker to the door panel. Can the door panel be made strong enough to handle 200W of 8" midbass pounding away and not really leak around its edges?

So I moved into my dorms for college today, I figured I should check out the town and look for any audio shops. I found one that used to carry RE products, but now mainly KIcker and Memphis it looks like. Anyway, I looked around the shop and found an RE 12 RE series, and a Coustic 321qe. I managed to get both of them for 230, Both BNIB. Anybody, think I got ripped off or was this a great find? Also, the gain knob of the front channel seems to be stuck, any ways to fix this? When i want to show off my stuff im always afraid of blowing my subs. I was wondering if there is a formula or something that you guys use to make sure you know where the subs limit is? If i dial in my gains to where the amp is not sending clipped signals when the head unit is all the way up, does this mean that i can turn the head unit up as much as i want and not have to worry? I have an Audioque HDC312 "1000 RMS" sub Audioque AQ1200D all wired at 1 ohm

I accidently punchered my surround today. more like a slice. does anybody know what I can buy to seal it up as a band-aid. Don't want to pay for a recone till I really mess it up. I heard that car window sealent works well, but dont know. anybody body got any suggestions?
