I was thinkin, would i need to build something like a funnel around the box of my subs leading up to the cuthrough in my truck to make optimal use of output from my subs......or would it be okay to just put the box few inches back from the wall of the truck?

Looks to be a cool little unit. Appears you can, via a laptop, adjust power through out the passband to limit over excursion.

so i finally decided the Q isn't quiet enough for me now a days. i need something bigger. so i just have some questions for you guys.. right now i have a 12" Q powered by a SAE 1000D. i am debating whether to get 1 15" or 2 12"s. i'm looking for which ever has the better output. now obviously the best out put would be out of two 12"s. but money is pretty tight, and i don't want to upgrade all my electrical if i don't have too. i was thinking about just getting 1 12" for now, selling my Q, and running 1 12" off my SAE. how will that sound? will ~1200w make the BTL happy? so im getting a brand new rf power hx2 15 thats been sitting since it was bought because the guy bought 2 of them years ago and only used one. i also found a hifonics bxi2010 bnib never been hooked up for $180....i want the hifonics but the guy with the sub has a power acoustik bamf 5500 which should i get? and im thinkin of taking my backseat out and walling between the cab and trunk. now the question about that is should i go sealed or ported? im looking more towards spl then sq any advice will be very appreciated. im taking my time putting this setup in so its done right and not just thrown together like my last one

I have 5.38 cubes after displacements other than port. My tuning is 32hz. I have an 8'' port going 12.75'' in the box, 12.75'' is my limit because I want 8'' of clearance from the bottom of port to bottom of box. Anyways, I have 12.75'' in and I have 7.8'' out of the box for a total of about 20.6'' of port. The port inside the box takes up .38 cubes so that leaves me with 5^3 inside the box after displacements. I think I have too much port length on the outside of the box, but I can still cut the port down. Any idea on what it should be?

I can't believe i am making this thread but there is something not right and evidently i have forgotten. I had this problem before but it was like 4yrs ago and i cant remember what i did. I hooked up a speaker to chan 4 only to make sure it would output power, it does fine, i even played some music on it so i know the amp works fine. Now, i connect the probe from the oscope to the positive terminal of chan 4 and the ground clamp of the oscope to the negative of chan 4. When i connect just the positive, i get this crazy wave form. im going to start off by saying this site is great! Back in the day i use to dump all my money on exspensive wheels,but after seeing and hearing some amazing systems and watching some of the build logs you guys have done it made me wanna get one of my own i am now hooked lol.Anyways my question is if i ran the saz3500 and 2 xcon 15 would a HO alt and one big kinetic battery work?at first i wanted to do the saz2000 but then seen you have to upgrade that two so decided to go a little bigger..Next question is if the one battery and HO alt is enough does any one know ball park rice on that?

Iv looked at home depot for 6" pvc tubing and i could only find 4"... i need 2 6" ports in my new box and its not very easy to find this tubing... i was hoping it would be cheap... but idkk now that it seems i can only buy 10' sections...

i am thinking about getting speaker replacements for my oem door speakers. i got a 96 honda accord coupe. these are the two i am looking at right now: ALPINE SPS-600 6-1/2" 2-WAY 240W and KICKER KS60 6 1/2" 2-WAY 195W. which one is better and maybe if someone else has a better set tell me. these two are only 10 dollars apart on ebay. they sell for around 50 shipped.
