Heres a review of the unit. They also have a group buy at caraudio.com going for it. I read the whole thread and I seem impressed. I downloaded the plugin for windows media player and I like the way it sounds on my headphones. I don't know if I would buy the unit, but maybe in the future if more people have good results. I've been looking around for a 12" and my fingers were looking deeply at the Fi Q, until I tried to understand what all of their options do. The information is so lacking and even misleading that I couldn't make myself to buy a from a company that produces "quality" equipment but can't even describe their options correctly. first time posting. I been lookin around this site a while and Im glad i found it. Well im redo the whole system in my car. And i wanted to do a 3 way active for my front stage. I a noob when it comes to goin active. But i wanted to do maybe a DD MD6.5, rainbow mr 100, and a jl tweeter. I still dont know wat amps I AM A be using but does this sound like a good set up so far? I AM A be running a 12 BTL off a sundown saz-3000d. And i listen to all types of music but mostly rap, if that helps. any advice is welcomed

looking to see if there is better box i can build for my sub, i have a 15" zcon in 4.5cf box tuned to 32hz on around 3000 rms in my 2005 sable/taurus,,, sub and port is facing the trunk and cant turn the box around or anything, im thinking there is not enough air getting into the cabin because the box is so big (only like 3 inches on each side and an inch from the top of the trunk),,, probley going to need someone draw something up for me with cut sheet and everything when im going to build it but right now just wanting to see some ideas on what i should do to get as loud and sound as good as it can in my car

I am going to be building a box for my 12" ssa Icon in a month or two and I couldn't stand not having a sub in my car so I bought two 12" DVC Memphis PR's (250 rms each) and the box that they're in was built so the subs could have there own chambers so it has two ports (a port on the left side and a port on the right side) and it has two cup terminals (1 per sub). I have a mono block amp and I have two positives and two negatives running off my amp (1 pos. and 1 neg to each sub). I am not sure how the subs are wired inside the box so I don't know if they're parallel or series. I have a Cadence ZRS-8 which puts out 1500rms @ 1 ohm and 750 @ 2 ohm and 250 @ 4 ohm. So my …

Okay. The box is 4 cubes @ 31-32 Hz for an Fi Q15. The box is strangely shaped because a spare tire is going to be standing up vertically behind the box to the right of the port. This was my plan. I was going to add 2 more vertical 2x4's to the right and left of the sub hole. The baffle, port, and vertical brace are NOT permanent yet. They haven't been attached yet. That's what's permanent. I was told the back wave is going to be fed directly into the port and that usually doesn't work well. Should I change my port? Anything else?

Yes i putting the finishing touches on my system thanks to all of the ssa members my question is this will a eq do any good for my system or is it just a waste of money i need the pros and cons. Also my final question is the pros and cons of not having any rear deck speakers i was to by some members to get rid of them which i did i can tell the difference but is that the right move. Will a pair of 15" FI BL's with the cooling and flatwind option surive being pushed by a SAZ-3000D? The subs will be loaded in my old sub box wich is 4.5 cu ft per chamber tuned to 35hz. Or maybe I should look into the btl's?

So I moved into my dorms for college today, I figured I should check out the town and look for any audio shops. I found one that used to carry RE products, but now mainly KIcker and Memphis it looks like. Anyway, I looked around the shop and found an RE 12 RE series, and a Coustic 321qe. I managed to get both of them for 230, Both BNIB. Anybody, think I got ripped off or was this a great find? Also, the gain knob of the front channel seems to be stuck, any ways to fix this? For all of you that make your own RCA's, which ends do you use and where do you get them? I'm going optical from my IVA-D310 to my PXA-H701 and rca's from there so they really dont need to be long TechFlex, how do you know what size you need to use? Please give me examples i.e. 1/0 needs 1", 3 runs of 12AWG speaker wire need 5/8" etc And what ratio heat shrink should I use for the TechFlex as well Thanks

Rite now I'm in the middle of the install of my Clarus 61-2 component set. I have a pre-existing hole from the other tweeter, which is where the C1 will be flush mounted. Since the C1 doesn't have the "screw on" flush mount option like the type-r had I have to some how secure the tweeter. Scott recommended me hot gluing but it was difficult because it dried too fast and it basically cracked and peeled apart, (plastic on plastic) (maybe i used the wrong hot glue?) I also tried using Epoxy Putty but it didn't work well either. Any recommendations and ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, -Mike

well my gf bought a 96 grand am and for her b-day i'm going to do a small set-up. this set-up will include an alpine cde-9881 w/ipod interface cable, alpine mrp m450 mono amp, 4guage power/ground w/60amp inline fuse, swr1242d (type r 12"), and a 1.49 cu. ft. vented box. not bad for a first system, really not bad for a small set-up. i know w/ the type r i could go w/ a bigger amp but i'm working w/ what i have left over from old set-ups in my cars. the only things i had to get was the h.u. and the box. she doesn't need much considering my system gets turned down when she gets in my lincoln lol. do you guys think this will be a decent set-up?

Installed a 10" IDQv3 and JL 500/1 for a friend last week in 2008 G37, signal was provided from Scosche LOC connected to rear speaker leads, then 2 pairs or RCA's run to the front to a PAC Level control, 1 in, 1 out. At first we used the crappy JL signal sensing to turn it on, and after he would shut the car off especially when closing the door, he would get the loud feedback from the subwoofer, almost like it was just playing a test tone. I went and bypassed the LOC for him using a 3 foot rca, and hooked up the REM to a switched power lead on the car hoping that would help. While it isn't doing it when he shuts the door now, it's doing it sometimes when he changes songs …

Hey i made my box for my truck its 2.5 cu. ft per chamber and its for 2 fi q's. Im not sure exactly how to measure out how long or wide my ports need to be. Any help is greatly appreciated
