of course i have 2 8ohm speakers that are less then 150 watts... and i need to run them 4 ohm stereo on the amp, i remember seeing somthing befor that you run inline to propose a ohm load to the amp, so im guessing i will need, two 4 ohm dummy loads,=4 ohm at the amp, or two 6 ohm dummy loads =2 ohms at the amp i can run this amp at 4 ohm stereo or 2 ohm stereo,. i have seen a few things on parts express... but not too sure what exacty i need... so someone that has used these be for would be great! thanks

I have some pretty good pieces of car audio for sale and I really need some money for college so that's why there for sale. This is what's available; Fi Q 15 w/BP power: $225 each Cadence DCA-2500: $400 Boston Pro 50s: $150 Alpine PDX 2.150: $150 I have two of the Fi Qs and only one of all the other items. If you want all of them, I'll sell it all for $1000 plus shipping but I'll throw in power wire, 6 channel patch cable, and distribution block. All that is worth about $200 and it's what was used for this system so you know you'll have everything to get it running. I lost pics and the gear is stored right now so if you interested and require pictuers let me know and I'…

If this were you, what would you do- If you already had all of your sound deadening and HU installed, all u need to do is buy your front stage\midbass amps for all those, then your subs and amps and all wiring and new alternator. If the money you were gonna spend regardless came up to - ~$3,200, if you knew you had the room to double output power from 2,000w to 4,500w, would you spend an extra $1,300? Added weight is approx 500 lbs out of a total of 865 so new coil overs or shocks would also need to be bough as well ~$850 on top of $1,300. Opinions? I'd like to break 150 some point in my life but for a daily driver it's hard. I'm lookin at wanting to buy 4 AA Arsenal 10s …

Do you guys think that a 200a Idle and 260a Max( Ohio Gen) will be enough for 2x USAmps MD-3D and 2x USAmps MD21? and for batteries 1x Power Master D5100R in the front and 2x Power Master D3100 in the back, that's the biggest Ohio can make in the GM Large case CS-144 Alt. so what do you guys think, will it be enough? Thanks.

I have an 880prs running active to a soundmagus 90.4 (soon to be Sundown SAX-100.4) , running CDT M6 mids in the doors and peerless tweeters in the sail panel. I am currently looking to get rid of both the mids and tweeters and upgrade. The doors are fully deadned and sealed w/ cascade deadner and reflex pads. Just looking for some help as to which way i should go with the about 200 i have to spend. The tweeter I need to stay within 1" and mid I can go 7" at most. thanks for any help nate

The stereo i currently own is an Audiophase model CD188. I opened it up today to get back a screw for my glasses that fell in through the cd tray, and while i was looking around i found three knobs on the main circuit board; little small metal cube with a circle cutout on top, with a colored knob inset inside. Being as curious as i am, i was about to start messing with them but thought i'd ask what they could do, before i blow something up. Note: i googled the model number and brand and only got two results. One is blue, one is orange, and one is yellow. i cant the friggin usb cord for the camera so no pics for now.

Heres a review of the unit. They also have a group buy at caraudio.com going for it. I read the whole thread and I seem impressed. I downloaded the plugin for windows media player and I like the way it sounds on my headphones. I don't know if I would buy the unit, but maybe in the future if more people have good results. However, it looks very promising. I am gonna copy the text here because it is hard to read at ECA. http://forum.elitecaraudio.com/showthread....threadid=109732 Okay so here it is. I feel i've tested the unit for long enough to get a good feel of what its capable of. First off i just want to say i have no connection to Waves (the maker of maxxbass) and i D…

so i finally decided the Q isn't quiet enough for me now a days. i need something bigger. so i just have some questions for you guys.. right now i have a 12" Q powered by a SAE 1000D. i am debating whether to get 1 15" or 2 12"s. i'm looking for which ever has the better output. now obviously the best out put would be out of two 12"s. but money is pretty tight, and i don't want to upgrade all my electrical if i don't have too. i was thinking about just getting 1 12" for now, selling my Q, and running 1 12" off my SAE. how will that sound? will ~1200w make the BTL happy? (daily use) then when money comes along i want to get the second 12" and then eventually the amp. i wa…

Has anyone done this before? I was wondering if I would run into any depth issues or any issue in creating a baffle to fit the factory location which is 6x8s.

I had my system installed about 10 years ago and I ve never really been happy with it. I finally have started diving into to the install and am not happy with very much of it as far as quality and cleanliness. I like things to look stealth and very clean. I have been doing a lot of reading and am getting a plan together. You can see what I have now in my sig. I have questions about wiring, sound deadening, component speaker mounting and adapters, and sub and enclosure. Is this the right section for all these questions? Couple questions to start it off...I have a capacitor that I've had about 12 years now. I always thought it was a good thing until I started reading that I…

I've seen a lot of topics about resistance so i decided to make topic about this to clear things up. There are 3 ways how to run your dual coil sub. 1) Series connection: you will wire your sub in series. If you connect in series you add resistance. 1+1=2 ohms 2+2=4 ohms 4+4=8 ohms 2) Parallel connection: Hook up your sub in parallel. Making your resistance lower. 1/1+1/1+1/2 = 0.5 ohms 1/2+1/2+1/1 = 1 ohm 1/4+1/4+1/0.5 = 2 ohms 3) Or you can run dual channel amp, 1 coil to 1 channel. Or run 2 amps one amp to one channel. I actually don't recommend this connection, because coils have to be powered equally, you need to make really accurate settings. Hope that this helps yo…

I've decided for my four door tahoe z71 2004 on going with a Pioneer AVH 4400, Was going to do the app radio but it only has 2 preouts. Along with that i am going to be getting a crescendo 5800bc amp, a total of four FI Bl series Subs (either 12 or 15 inches) with the cooling option, not sure on 1ohm or two ohm impedance. Along with that i will be building my own ported box tuned to 35 or 30 hz. For the tweeters i am just going to be running two crescendo ft1 and four pwx 6.5. Haven't chosen the amp on those. I do know i will need to upgrade my electrical system on my car. I'm just posting this for some feed back on what i could enhance or if 15 inch subs would be better …

I have a paper to write for an Economy class (Pure Compitition, Pure Monopoly, Monpolistic Compitition and Oligopoly). Basically need an article that supply and demand and shows what happens to profit and make graphs, and the teacher said to choose a topic I like. So, it would be awesome if there's some article showing JL, SI, Kicker or whatever showing more profit because of an introduction of a new sub, or anything audio related. So, what's a good site that shows audio sales?

ok, so i have my subs and i have figured out the amp to power them. now i need to figure out if the box that i have will be sufficient or if i am better off with a different design. the following is as much useful information as i can think of, but if you need anymore just ask. also haven't been able to find detailed specs on the speakers, so i don't know fo, qes, xmax or anything like that, that's why i need your help. haven't found anyone that has that info either, so hopefully you all can still throw me some input. thanks. car: 99 altima subs: pair of 12" american bass vfl1266 amp: rockford t1500 current box: sealed 34x14x14 3/4mdf music: mostly juggalo beats and nu-me…

So I'm building a box for my BTL this next weekend. I've ordered two 3/4"x9"x18" sheets of plexiglass, and two of these 3w high powered wide angle LEDs on an aluminum base. They'll be going inside the box, and you'll be able to see the badass backside of the BTL while its playing. They're the same ones Steve Meade used in the 2x T15K Escalade build, so I know they're going to be super bright. Here is Plasma LEDs site if anyone is interested. My question, I've heard people talk about before a control module that you could get that you could plug into your RCAs to make your LEDs flash to the beat. Does anyone know where I can find one? I've searched and come up with nothin…
