well, just got my response from Madisound and will be getting some of their stuff now. I'm looking into the Peerless and LPG stuff, but think i should get them over Seas or Morel???? I'll try one now and then the others later but whats a better company to start with?

what is the length or volume of a vent in a 2cu ft ported box tuned to 28hz supposed to be? I am trying to figure out a way for my sealed box to have the ability to add on a vent to turn it into a vented box. Suggestions.

let's say----someone here was to make a limited batch of handmade amps that were very easy on the pocketbook----I have a few questions--- 1----what options would you want---power wise and such 2----what size would be the best 3----what class would you want 4---and finally would you buy from someone here building amps? just wondering

Maybe I'm just getting old and bitter. Maybe I'm maturing. Or maybe it's just my depression talking. But I'm almost tired of car audio anymore. Everything is a hassle. Any setup I'd actually want to have in my car would require a major modifications and about two months of installation. Running wire is a pain in the ass. Sound deadening can kiss my ass. Cramming yourself into positions and spaces you never thought possible to install anything is getting old. And you do all this work just to shove some overpriced audio equipment into an acoustic hell hole that will sound worse than even a mediocre bookshelf setup. Hello everyone... i have been guided to this place by Bass Outlaw Am new to the Car audio world..and i would like to learn more.. as a start am driving a 2005 corolla xli , the stock Head Unit got casset and a CD player.. hooked with 4 speakers (stock) i would like to increase the Clarity of the Sound, and Also get some Moderate Bass... My budget is only $130.. i would like to know what to get with this amount of money.. and a general idea about how to run the setup.. thanks in Advance

well i had ordered some items from someone over at CA.com Friday 9th. I received the image dynamic speakers thursday I believe without the sub. I couldn't imagine why I didn't get both of them but I just shrugged it off. Well.....I just got back from a trip and I told my parents about it and they said "Yeah, we have something to tell you." My dad hands me an envolpe that has nothing but a label and an aplogoy note from the postal service. Basically someone either A) stole my sub or B. lost the package which I have no idea how you lose something this big. so we are going to go talk to the people about this monday. I'm really bummed about it

ok ,well i have a guy who does his own beat and is working on becoming a producer and all. Right now I think he works in radio. But i think i may ask him to make me a test CD and tracks and wondering what you guys would like in a test CD. I know i would have tracks of just tones from 10hz-200hz and sweeps from 100-20khz if possible. But what else. And do you guys think 10$ per CD is a good price?

Hey guys. well if you don't know, I'm trying to go active on this next seutp. I'm wondering a couple things though. 1) you think audio control EQTS(2 since they are mono) and a 4XS is a good combo? I'm choosing them because the EQTS have 31 band 1/3 octave EQ, and the 4xs will support all of my speakers properly. Plus they are pretty cheap, 250 (if you can find them) for the EQTS, and about 60-80 bucks for the 4xs. 2) I need a H/U that will support my 4 way setup, for time alignment. what are some good H/U's that do this? Hey... I might have found an 8W7 that could fit in my budget...however, I've got a question. Do JL's recommended enclosures work well at home? I've heard they're optimized for in-vehicle cabin gain. ok, i've got the high end covered...with these planars, thanks ryan but i need help with the mid and sub....i want to do a three way set up. here's some idea's... these for the midbass/range these for the subs i have no idea about the crossovers... i want to do either a 10 or a 12 in each tower (or a pair of something) and either a 5.25 or 6-6.5 for the mid. i don't want to spend a fortune, but i want to thrash my 14 year old set of pioneer towers.... Well, I Pmed jack frost the other night asking him about home audio. I don't know hardly anything about it other than Klipsch speakers are very good.
