well i had ordered some items from someone over at CA.com Friday 9th. I received the image dynamic speakers thursday I believe without the sub. I couldn't imagine why I didn't get both of them but I just shrugged it off. Well.....I just got back from a trip and I told my parents about it and they said "Yeah, we have something to tell you." My dad hands me an envolpe that has nothing but a label and an aplogoy note from the postal service. Basically someone either A) stole my sub or B. lost the package which I have no idea how you lose something this big. so we are going to go talk to the people about this monday. I'm really bummed about it

Hey guys. well if you don't know, I'm trying to go active on this next seutp. I'm wondering a couple things though. 1) you think audio control EQTS(2 since they are mono) and a 4XS is a good combo? I'm choosing them because the EQTS have 31 band 1/3 octave EQ, and the 4xs will support all of my speakers properly. Plus they are pretty cheap, 250 (if you can find them) for the EQTS, and about 60-80 bucks for the 4xs. 2) I need a H/U that will support my 4 way setup, for time alignment. what are some good H/U's that do this? I believe some of the new alpines have 6 channel time alignment capabilites? I'm not really diggin the glide touch though. your thoughts pl…

I have done some searching and can't seem to find a post anywhere that addresses what people like to listen to during the setup of their front stage--not the subwoofer. What CD's or tracks do you guys prefer for setting up the angles of your front speakers and to generally test the imaging and staging of your setup?

Sup good people, I'm almost done with my installation...maybe another week or two, depending on my schedule. I've routed the power cable on the passenger side, the audio connects down the middle and all the speaker wiring along the driver's side. Now, I've built an amp rack to hold a DA D152 with the crossovers just to the left and right of it. The speaker wires going to the crossover that sits to the right of the amp will have to cross the power and ground cables. I can't believe I've gotten this far and totally forgot the rule about about keeping speaker wires away from power cables. My question is, will I definitely have audible interference? ok ,well i have a guy who does his own beat and is working on becoming a producer and all. Right now I think he works in radio. But i think i may ask him to make me a test CD and tracks and wondering what you guys would like in a test CD. I know i would have tracks of just tones from 10hz-200hz and sweeps from 100-20khz if possible. But what else. And do you guys think 10$ per CD is a good price?

Hey... I might have found an 8W7 that could fit in my budget...however, I've got a question. Do JL's recommended enclosures work well at home? I've heard they're optimized for in-vehicle cabin gain. If so, does anyone have recommendations for enclosures (sealed or bass reflex) for this little beast? Thanks in advance.

Well, I Pmed jack frost the other night asking him about home audio. I don't know hardly anything about it other than Klipsch speakers are very good. I don't know what happened!! I had sound one day and then the next day,I didn't. I have tried playing the radio and a CD and neither works. I have the stock amp and the stock radio and I had my local BMW dealer put a 6 CD changer in the trunk. I have posted this question on another website and nobody there helped!! I can't decide if I want go with an active 3-way DIY frontstage consisting of Coustic Design Reference & Vifa speakers, or go simple with a pair of Memphis Sync8's On the one hand, I really like the sound of my DR 7's when I was running them with my horns. But, likewise, the Sync8's are responsible for many World Championships in SQ comps, and I do really like the sound of audiolife's Sync 5.25's. Some people wanted to see some larger cable so here you go. This is a shot of three-conductor 750MCM next to a 2" IMC coupling. The coupling is 2.5" in diameter so that gives you an idea of how large this stuff is. Picture is misleading though as the cable is actually about 3.1" in diameter. This stuff weighs 18lbs. per foot!!! And here's a shot of 750kcmil next to the three-conductor. This stuff is no joke. It can handle over 10Kamps of current!!! I have some even large stuff, but it was buried on a spool and I couldn't get to it to take some photos. And last but not least, my favorite big'uns!

ok, i've got the high end covered...with these planars, thanks ryan but i need help with the mid and sub....i want to do a three way set up. here's some idea's... these for the midbass/range these for the subs i have no idea about the crossovers... i want to do either a 10 or a 12 in each tower (or a pair of something) and either a 5.25 or 6-6.5 for the mid. i don't want to spend a fortune, but i want to thrash my 14 year old set of pioneer towers....
