I have a friend that I am helping and recently built a killer ported box for. He has a 98 F150 regular cab. The box is 2.3cuft and tuned to 33hz with the sub forward port to drivers side. He has a Memphis PR 12 d4 that is decent I guess but his biggest problem is the Sony Xplode 1000 watt amp. "POS" running it. I have it wired to 2 ohms and it dont like it, gets hot after only one or two songs, etc. Wired at 8 ohms it just doesnt power the sub enough. I've decided for my four door tahoe z71 2004 on going with a Pioneer AVH 4400, Was going to do the app radio but it only has 2 preouts. Along with that i am going to be getting a crescendo 5800bc amp, a total of four FI Bl series Subs (either 12 or 15 inches) with the cooling option, not sure on 1ohm or two ohm impedance. Along with that i will be building my own ported box tuned to 35 or 30 hz. For the tweeters i am just going to be running two crescendo ft1 and four pwx 6.5. Haven't chosen the amp on those. I do know i will need to upgrade my electrical system on my car. I'm just posting this for some feed back on what i could enhance or if 15 inch subs would be better …

ok so i traded my friend the orions, i got from nccj, for these pioneer subs i got from bb a while back(basiclly i sold him those too and got them back) and he gave me 50bux(in change ) but anyway, i have my PA 3000db, calculated a lil bit, and came up wt these numbers ohms watts gain 8 200 4 1100 900 2 1800 700 1 2300 500 0.5 2550 250 Now the subs are rated at 150rms per sub, so 300total. So i have them in series and thier both 4ohms so it should be 8ohms total. I'm scared to turn them up loud because i dont want to blow them cuz im gonna giv them to my g/f once my subs come in. I had my system installed about 10 years ago and I ve never really been happy with it. I finally have started diving into to the install and am not happy with very much of it as far as quality and cleanliness. I like things to look stealth and very clean. I have been doing a lot of reading and am getting a plan together. You can see what I have now in my sig. I'm interested in this alarm. I have some feature questions, and DEI will not answer them on the phone due to "liability issues". They'll only speak to the shop owner. Well, my preferred shop owner basically contracts out a revolving alarm installer.. so neither of them are fimiliar with this alarms capabilites. I'm shocked that DEI cannot answer simple feature questions on their own product. I'm not asking what wires to cut, I just want to know what it can do basically. When is it, where is it, and how much is to get in.

I need to find out if i will need the big 3 or not with my setup. Here is what i have 1 12" kicker L7 750watts rms 2ohm dvc and am going to be purchasing a JBL GTO 1201.1 787watts at 4ohms. My car is a 95 ram 1500 and i think the alternator is 120amps will i need the big 3? information on the amp there are 3 40amp fuses so 120 amps is the most the amp will pull i was told just put that there maybe it will help you guys.
