General Audio

Im lookin at a ne system and im stuck at what to get. I dont want to spend more than 600. I can get 2 Alpine Type R 12s ported, 2 SE 12s ported, 15 XXX ported, 12 SX ported, or 2 p3s in a ported custom box. Need help and opinions.

Some people wanted to see some larger cable so here you go. This is a shot of three-conductor 750MCM next to a 2" IMC coupling. The coupling is 2.5" in diameter so that gives you an idea of how large this stuff is. Picture is misleading though as the cable is actually about 3.1" in diameter. This stuff weighs 18lbs. per foot!!! And here's a shot of 750kcmil next to the three-conductor. This stuff is no joke. It can handle over 10Kamps of current!!! I have some even large stuff, but it was buried on a spool and I couldn't get to it to take some photos. And last but not least, my favorite big'uns!

I don't know what happened!! I had sound one day and then the next day,I didn't. I have tried playing the radio and a CD and neither works. I have the stock amp and the stock radio and I had my local BMW dealer put a 6 CD changer in the trunk. I have posted this question on another website and nobody there helped!! Any help would be appreciated!!

Apparently they've been brought back to life by parent ICON. Seem to have some very promising products coming out. I remember a test on those electrostats by CSR back in the day. AWESOME! After a few complications with the computer we started late. But we all had fun!! I competed with just half my system working (2 amps & 1x 15" sub). Did quite well though. First post,anyway I bought 4 Powerbase pb1554's and I was wondering if anyone had t/s parameters and ported enclosure recommendations. I looked on powerbass website but didn't find all t/s or ported rec. Thanks in advance.

I should have no problems with BASS. But I`m worried about Mid Bass - punchyness. I do not want to use huge door builds & they will never sound right anyway. So I plan to use 4x 10" or 8" subs. To help the system sound better / seem more punchy - quick I`ll be feeding them about 250wrms each. So should I do this or what`s the best way to do it? BTW: I`m aiming for the system to play music @ 150dB+ 16 Cu.Ft. Box. Ported using 4x S.I. 15" Magnums. Thanks guys.

im going to need one, i want something high quality that will remote start, pop my hatch and be able to signal a pager, or come with one. i want as much pager range as possible. i dont know much about alarms, i had a viper on my old camaro and it was decent but this was 4 years ago. how difficult is it to install, because the shops around here want insane amounts of money, like 600 for an installed alarm. i was thinking i'd spend 150-300 on the alarm and add ons, then spend a few days installing it. anyone know of any forums like this but for alarm information?

i've become quite bored with the people in NC as almost everyone here is stuck on Alpine and JL and no one offers any good company. I am at wits end with people where i work who think Zapco is a Walmart brand and that the Kicker Comp Vrs are a good sub to get. No offense to the company as a whole, but i'm on to better things than those play toys. So where are the NC members? Alright, my step mom wants a small stereo in her car, but she wants to keep the factory HU. Can all amps be wired to a factory HU or only certian ones? Ive never done a install with a factory hu. Heres what i got so far. My price line is ~500 Hifonics zx8000 5 channel amp 240 Id10 v3 100ish kunkonceptz wire ~45 Im gonna up grade the front speakers but I still need to see whats going to fit before I do.
