im going to need one, i want something high quality that will remote start, pop my hatch and be able to signal a pager, or come with one. i want as much pager range as possible. i dont know much about alarms, i had a viper on my old camaro and it was decent but this was 4 years ago. how difficult is it to install, because the shops around here want insane amounts of money, like 600 for an installed alarm. i was thinking i'd spend 150-300 on the alarm and add ons, then spend a few days installing it. anyone know of any forums like this but for alarm information?

I should have no problems with BASS. But I`m worried about Mid Bass - punchyness. I do not want to use huge door builds & they will never sound right anyway. So I plan to use 4x 10" or 8" subs. To help the system sound better / seem more punchy - quick I`ll be feeding them about 250wrms each. So should I do this or what`s the best way to do it? BTW: I`m aiming for the system to play music @ 150dB+ 16 Cu.Ft. Box. Ported using 4x S.I. 15" Magnums. Thanks guys.

i've become quite bored with the people in NC as almost everyone here is stuck on Alpine and JL and no one offers any good company. I am at wits end with people where i work who think Zapco is a Walmart brand and that the Kicker Comp Vrs are a good sub to get. No offense to the company as a whole, but i'm on to better things than those play toys. So where are the NC members? Probably won't happen till I'm settled into school, but since I get such good accommodation thru pioneer and kicker at work I'm thinking.... Kicker sx1250.1 kicker sx700.4 and the sxrc remote those two are for sure... now the next part is iffy... I either wanna do 4 l7 8"s(just to have something different) or I'm going to do 2 l7 12"s... then again I get really good deals on infinity's high end woofers too... as for a headunit probably a p8mp or p770mp. think i would be under powering the 8"s to much with the 1250.1?

Alright, my step mom wants a small stereo in her car, but she wants to keep the factory HU. Can all amps be wired to a factory HU or only certian ones? Ive never done a install with a factory hu. Heres what i got so far. My price line is ~500 Hifonics zx8000 5 channel amp 240 Id10 v3 100ish kunkonceptz wire ~45 Im gonna up grade the front speakers but I still need to see whats going to fit before I do. Ok so I understand what an RTA is and all that jazz. I googled for an RTA program to purchase and came up with a lot of sites that sell programs. My question is, what's some good programs you guys have used/had experience with that you could recommend me. Or are they pretty much all the same with few minor tweaks here and there.

My current setup is MB Quarts, but horribly lack mid bass even amped and the treble was kind of harsh at times. With a budget of under 200, are there any components out there that have better midbass and smoother treble? Am i asking too much? How are the RE components?

My Brutus has a ground plane problem, and I can't fix it with the equipment I have (read:none). Where do you guys recommend? I am very picky about who works on my equipment, and am leary of the shops around here.
