Custom RCA's, couldn't be happier, thanks man! Preamp anyone? One of the things I picked up at the PE tent sale... HiVi 2"er (Tough lil bugga)

1. To run 1/0 gauge through my car ( i got quoted 30 bucks) 2. Install an amp and a sub with box and wiring for a friend 3. Install a HU 4. A full install (2 sets of speakers, 1 sub, and amp with wiring and box) just wondering, cuz pple are askin me to do these things for them (except the 1/0 gauge wire).

I went to college for a year and havent really been up to date w/ whats new, good, old, and what not. Last time I was here, everyone had a huge RE boner & was bashing ED, dont know if thats still goin on. Well, thus far I've been using Raammat and love it. No complaints about the product at all, and Rick is an awesome guy to deal with. But, I've used up all 125sqft, and now it's time to get some more deadening. I can get more Raammat BXT (62.5sqft) for $99 + shipping. would there be a noticable difference between 70wx2 passive on my RE 6.5's and 125x4 active thru my 860? i might be getting a visonik 4208. anyone used this amp? is it any good???

my boss wants me to build him a nice center channel for his house, cause i do all the car audio for everyone at the shop. but what does a center channel consist of? isn't it usually like 2 4's and a tweet, or something like that? what freq range does this channel need to cover. is there any other pertinant information that i should know before attempting to build this?

I changed up the design on my towers, so I don't have a place to mount / hide the crossovers. The initial design called for them to be placed inside of the cabinets ... in the upper section with the 5.25's and tweets. However, I scrapped that idea to gain more internal volume and pushed the 'back' all the way back so it's flush with the back of the bottom section (think of one solid back ... mind you, I'm sure you've seen the pictures, so no need for me to explain it). i'm gonna be running 2 batteries but i'm not sure what isolator to get. my setup is an orion 2500D and a pg ti500.4 with a 200 amp alt. and big 3 done in 1/0 guage wire. i have just a stock battery under the hood and plan to run a small yellowtop in the back, but i don't know what isolator to use and where to get one. i found this one here: http://www.darvex.com/miva/merchant...duct_Code=SR200 is that one any good or can i get another/or better one somewhere else?

well i just got the Alpine 9831 body wiring and all, except for the FACEplate, i powered it up with a regulator i have and the hear the cd player try to scran like noremal but i was wondering if it would come on with my 9815 face? or do i have to wiat and get the 9831 face?

i got this from my boss. he said it worked great, but when he went on vacation he unplugged it. (in case of storms) and when he plugged it back in, it didn't work. it was free, i'mma take it to the shop up the road and see what it'll cost to fix. it was free so i couldn't pass it up. the back says 350W. does anyone know anything about it? is it any good? well here's the pics...

I am going to bi amp my mb quarts and want some recomendations on what wire to use. I was trying to find the best deal on a 4conductor wire 4/16 or 4/14 prefferd. But am open to ideas for a better solution. If it makes a differece the drivers door wire goes right behind the fuse box and computer so shielded or twisted paire would be best?

I've been trying to explain to this guy on EvolutionM.Net that there is no such thing as a break in period for amplifiers. He says the transistor crystal's chemical composition changes slightly since they are made and don't see power until the consumer buys it(I assumed that from a comment or 2 he made). I realized I don't have much factual proof in my handds for my arguement. Are there any tests/ studied someone could point me to to further my side? i'm considering going active with some ribbon tweets, using the xovers on my HU. i just need something with better dispersion, im not completely happy with my regular tweets. i'll most like mount em in kicks. anyone have experience with ribbons? whatre your opinions? TIA.
