2 kicker cvrs in my 1995 accord.....should i get a ported box or a sealed box. And does dynamat make my system louder, and reduce rattling? I just want 100% clean bass and 0 % rattling, so what do i need?

I've got a used SSA DCON 10" and alpine mrp-m350 amp. The amp is hooked up to a line out conerter tapped into my rear speakers with the amp recieving power. The sub is wired in parallel and is a dvc 4ohm sub so the amp's output is going to be 2ohms. I've got both sub terminals, negative to negative and positive to positive. The wire connecting the box is connected to ONE terminal...that is correct right? I've checked all the wires again and again yet can't get the sub to do anything. I changed grounds to no avail. I bought a used sub off a member on caraudio.com (lil98cabrio) and am starting to think it's blown, but don't have another sub to test. Is there a way to test…

Which one should I do.... I have a SAZ3k and power to back it up.... I already have a box built to seven cubes tuned to 33hz that I was using for my BTL but I offed that to get a new sub. I have a 12" FI BTL with the UfO motor that needs to be reconed. Who makes the best recone kit for it, I currently only know of FI and PSI recone kits but I'm not sure what one is better. Who makes the best recone kit for it? If another company makes one that would allow me to have 3000w rms that would be perfect. Please let me know what my options are and what you recommend.

I have been looking at 5.1 options. Some questions I have: 1) I would like to be able to control the processor through the HU. I read that the Alpine W205 can control the H701 although it doesn't say that on the website. I had intended to get an AVIC-D3 but that doesn't seem to have any control over the pioneer processor. What are the best options here? 2) Looking around I notice that the 5 channels are always equal power. Had a 12" Fi BTL off 2500RMS in a 2.70cuft box @ 30Hz. Trunk setup. Have a different car now and was thinking 2x15" @ 600RMS each, sealed in rear seat area, facing forward (or backward). Was looking at RE Audio SEX series. Just wondering how it would compare to the BTL. Would the two 15's move more air? How would the lows be, and of course SQ difference be?

I regret going with a Cadence Z800 over the A7HC, because the A7 was a sick amp and it would have been more useful down the road. i just wanted to know what is the correct way of using oscilloscope to set amplifier gain. 1. Do you scope the amp with the speakers connected? or just hook up the scopemeter to the amp speaker terminal? 2. What test tone to use to set subwoofer amp, midrange amp and tweeter amp? Will 50hz and 1khz be sufficient? I do notice that if i set amp gain at 80hz and then play 50hz test tone, the amp output is clipped. So how low on test tone frequency shall i use for sub amp? 3. For music playback, is it better to use 0db test tone or -3db / -6 db for gain overlap? thanks

I've been wanting to try id horn for the longest. Purchase a set months ago they were DOA because of packaging and shipper that was F.... Up. So I decide to contact eric Stevens and order a set and purchase the selenium d2500ti drivers. I read on line that I'll need an adapter ( adf25 1in) I think I was good to go yea right not at all aggravated! so in two years, i am getting a car. it will be my 16th birth day present. now my plan is: (4) MJ-18's in a clamshell (4) 6.5" tang bands in the doors (1) U.S. Amps XT-2000d @ 1ohm (subs) (2) Legacy LA160's (mids and highs) and 6 pioneer tweeters. all this crap is going in the back of a 99' beetle. ported and tuned to 30Hz, will this monster blow my car up? i mean it would be fun, but i would have no mode of transportation. so please, tell me now if doing this will be a waste of money and/or put me out of a car. i mean, how bad could it be? i just like my music loud!

I absolutely cannot get away from it, and I was wondering what keeps everyone else coming back for more and more. For me its the undeniable feel of a subwoofer rattling your chest, and knowing you made it all happen.

I went to home depot today, and the thickest mdf they can get is 3/4". Does anyone sell 1" mdf? Also what do you use to cut your boxes? Jig Saw, Table Saw, Circular Saw? What do you use to cut the sub circle? Jig Saw? What type of screws do you use. Coarse Dry-wall screws? Etc... I tried to build my first box, and it came out pretty miserably. On sub is flush mounted, the other on isn't, lol stuff like that. And the box was port starved, woops.
