Sony MDR-V700 Pro DJ Remix Use Phenomenal sound clarity for the price, amazing bass response. Sound amazing, and block everything in the outside world out. Great cans for the price ($100) I am about to get an iPod and I will be in the market for some earbuds. Anybody have any suggestions for that?

Nothing more than minor cuts, scrapes, and pinches here - mainly from removing panels. Sliced my finger somewhat with a utility knife once, wasn't fun. Anyone else have any other interesting injuries sustained during installation? - Steve

  5. Heres my status. I just sold the kove armageddon and the planet audio tt2250D that I had sitting around. I am in the process of selling my Planet Audio VX3002, and I will be ordering my Orion 2500D tomorrow. Once I sell the PA, I will order my 400.4. I also have some wheels on ebay so I can have some money to spend for christmas shopping. I am also about to buy a pair of EQT's for $115. Finals this week too. Fun stuff. Getting the car back hopefully friday or so. For those who don't know, I had a blowout and went off of the road messing up my axle shaft and a few body parts. The car has been in the damn shop for almost a month now. The dealership is absolutely pathetic. …

I am looking into buying two 15" subs, a nice decent headunit, an amp to power the subs, a set of components for the front and an amp to power the components. What would you guys recommend for all of that. I have no more than $1500 to work with and I would like to stay under that price. I want the equipment to be nice high quality equipment, but still staying under that price. Thanks, Kyle

Well where to begin? About 3 months ago my friend nick decided to get a blow through installed in his '98 tacoma reg cab. The aaudio shop he went to installed 2 memphis 12's not the mojo but the next step down. His box is each sub in a 1.2 cube firing at each other into a 3.5-4 cube space. With a port that extends out from there into the cab. Needless to say it sounds and his like @$$. Well, you guys have any ideas how to make it better both sq and spl wise, and no a match and gas isnt an option. Any ways I was thinking one 12" or 15" in 3-3.5 cubes ported. with the sub and the port facing forward to go through into the cab. How does that sound? We are starting …

Heh, you probably thought I was talking about ports - you narrow minded so and so My amp shipped from SoundDomain in Seattle on October 14th. This was sent via USPS. Naturally, the packages get sent to Vancouver where customs sorts through them, checks for drugs and bombs, determines the appropriate charge (14.5% tax in my case), and then hands them off to Canada Post to go and deliver. 7-14 days is normal for something coming from the US via USPS Air Mail Parcel Post. As of right now, customs has a 150, 000 package backlog, which is absurd, and people have been waiting for up to 5 full weeks for their package. Seattle is only a couple hours from Vancouver. Vancou…

Hello all, i have a large project on my hands. I've been commisioned(somewhat) to build a box for a 12" Orion H2. Now, the box is gonna be 2.5 cubes tuned to 32 hz. Now, for those of you who own mustangs, you know how small the trunk opening is(this kid has a mustang cobra, not the newest body style, but one from probably the late '90s) and i just need all the tips i can get on putting this box in. Most likely i'm going to have to build it IN the trunk, so any tips will be greatly appreciated. Unless you guys know of another way to get a box big enough in there. Also, i may have to hook up all the stuff for his amp. Any help there would also be appreciated(hole locati…

As you know, a Power Acoustik A2400DB is in transit to my house via UBetterNotScrewUpMyPackageSPS Air Mail. Wire ... wire ... wire. Wire. I can get a Power Acoustik 2 gauge kit (complete) for $24 USD + $20 to ship it since I'm in Canada. However, it comes with an AGU style fuse and fuseholder, which will not cut it. So I'd be upgrading to an ANL style fuse and fuseholder. So I'd be paying $44 for the kit, plus another $43 for a fuseholder and fuse - which puts me at $87 USD. KnuKonceptz has a nice 1/0 gauge kit. Doesn't come with an RCA, but that's not a big deal because I have an extra on here I can use. Of course, KnuKonceptz does NOT ship to Canada. That's a $70…

Ok, today was the first time ina long while that I have built a box away from my old shop. These are a few things I learned / remembered while building a box today. 1. Measure twice, cut once (this goes for the cuts on the woodas well as the overall size of the enclosure). I made a few bad cuts and ended up building one box too large. Grrr. If you are going to cut it wrong, be sure do it larger than what is needed. 2. A pneumatic or electric brad nailer is the way to go! I was doing it the old fashioned way with a hammer and finishing nails. There was some frustration with bent / broken nails as well as the lack of speed. 3. A jigsaw may cut wood, but it is a far cry fro…

I've noticed for some time now that it's complicated to figure out the power for a three sub setup. If you have three 4 ohm DVC subs wired together in series (in think thats right) you get a 2.67 overall ohmage. Now if you have a KX600.1 for 600@2ohms, or perhaps a DX700 for 700@2ohms; how would you figure out how much power the amp would put out at 2.67 ohms? Looking into possibly 3-10" compvrs with that setup. Also, I was looking into a two sub setup with the Brahma 10. I'm thinking maybe a bpx1100.1 to power that setup. This one is more expensive, but alot louder and more SQ. After all that 29mm one way linear xmax sure isnt dissapointing! Both setups would be i…

Ok, the wife wants to get a home theater in the near future. I used to work in a car audio shop that sold home audio as well, but I did not dabble in that at all. Right now what are some quality name brands that are not too much? Thankfully I can get quite a bit of different stuff near dealer cost so that helps. For reciever looking to stay below 750-800 MSRP, dvd player around 350-400 MSRP and who knows what on the speakers:) I am looking at a 5.1 reciever a 5 disk cd/dvd player the speakers to go with it At the moment I am looking at some Integra pieces and for spakers it is a toss up between Paradigm and Phase Tech with Phase Tech having the advantage right now.
