I was thinkin, would i need to build something like a funnel around the box of my subs leading up to the cuthrough in my truck to make optimal use of output from my subs......or would it be okay to just put the box few inches back from the wall of the truck?

Hey Everyone I've got a 745Li that I am bypassing the entire L7 audio system. The system is not what i want and i don't want to invest 1000 bucks just to put aftermarket amps into it. My idea is to first remove the ASK unit. Then fabricate the trim to fit a din size that will allow any aftermarket radio t0 fit. I'm sure the trim won't be strong enough to hold the weight of a head unit, so i need some of your ideas on supporting that weight. this part should be fairly simple. I'd like to cover the trim in an exact match of wood grain as the rest of the car but i have no clue where to go with that idea. I'll have to find an ignition and a 12v constant along with a gro…

(Not sure if I posted this in the right section sorry) Considering I'm in college, and I haven't been able to work that much through out the year Iv decided to try and make a little extra money on the side, along with helping out some fellow Canadians. I'm thinking about building a few subwoofer boxes for anyone around my area really. I highly doubt anyone will really even be living near me on here but its worth a shot.. Anyways, if you need some help building a box and live in the Niagara Region id love to help. Thanks.

Hi everyone. I finally got my system installed and want to take a vid of it to post on here. My question is what kind of cameras work well for good sound reproduction? video cam? or point and shoot with a vid option? I see alot of vids shot by cell phones and in my opinion are a bit annoying and doesn't do anyone any good. So without putting a mortgage on my home to afford a good video camera, I was just curious as to what others around here are using. Thanks!

I just bought a zv5 15 thinking it was dual 2 ohm and it’s dual 1 ohm. I have a few questions. First, can it be recone to dual 2? Because I read some motors are only configured to function on the original impedance. Idk. And if I can’t get it recone, can I run that amp at .5 ohm unclipped on that zv5 and not overpower it? Should I run it at 2 ohms? I hope it can be reconed to dual 2. In need of help. Thank u.

I'm thinking about going with a 5.1 setup in the truck. The front channels will be 3-way active and I'm thinking Legatia 4s for the surround channels and the center channel. Amps for the surround would be OLD US amps USA-100 and a USA-25 bridged on the center channel. There's a nice pocket in the top center of the dash for the center channel and the rears will be in pods up near the ceiling. The HU I just ordered is 5.1 equipped (Kenwood Excelon DNX-8120) and the sourround will only be used on multichannel source material with just the fronts and subs on music. Thoughts?

Well guys, as you have probaby noticed I havent been around much here lately (or anywhere on the net). Six months ago I took a promotion and helped start up a new division with the company I work for and it's been hectic to say the least. Well, it continues to be busy and I cannot devote the time to Acoustic Visions that it needs and with great sadness I'm giving everybody here a heads up that I'll be closing shop in a month when it comes time to renew my URL. I've been in business since early 2001 so it's been a good run and I've loved every minute of it and I want to thank you guys for everything you've done. My heart just isnt in to it any longer and I'm too tired afte…

I recently purchased a 2001 Buick lesabre and want to put a system in it. First things first I need to get a decent head unit in there, tape player isn't gonna cut it lol. But I want to make sure it's done right, I want to keep my steering wheel controls and I was told I'll need something to either bypass the stock amp or integrate it. I've researched it a little but I don't know that I'll get it right still so I came here for help. Is there anyone that has installed a after market headunit in one of these cars? What exactly do I need so that everything will be functional and done correctly?
