I've had my subwoofer installed for just over 2 years now with no issues. Now when I start my car (No music playing) The power light on my bass knob flashes and I can hear my subwoofer slightly thumping. I've checked the ground and the power cables but can't figure out what causing it. The clipping light doesn't flash red, just the power light. I attached a video of this. You cant hear the thumping because its very low. The amp I'm using is a Sundown SAZ 1500D and I'm using the bass knob that came with that amp. A really nice kid that comes to my town once in a while to check out my van build has a school dance coming up and wants to borrow one of my EP4000s to run off his old receiver that has no crossover. He's running a car audio sub, I think it's a 15" Shocker Sig I'll make sure tomorrow, probably in a car audio box built to spec, going to guess 4-6 cubes tuned around 33Hz...I'll verify that as well. I trust the guy and he's really cool, but I don't ever move my amps...I dont ever fiddle with them...I dont want anything happening to them. Hello all I have a 2015 Silverado crew cab and I finally have the funding to play a little my goal is to have a 5k amp and 2 15s subs in ported box, the whole back cab will be sacrificed. I need to know if a 250a alt and a good batt would be sufficient for what I’m looking for or maybe that and an extra batt? Also I keep reading about this donut deal on my negative battery cable that regulates alt voltage, and that it’s a pain to get around? I haven’t dug too deep into it, but i wanted to start with at least a big 3. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

What do I have to consider about the box design and sub placement and bracing to have the ports on the rear of the box? The reason I ask cause subs would be side and there wouldnt be too much room for the ports if they went next to the outsides of the subs in my trunk. Also are there any benefits to a single chamber push pull ported box? Downsides? What if in the same box, the speakers are on opposite planes- one in back, one in front? I cant find ANYTHING like this on this on google and want to know why.

I've been working with bass box pro 6 for probably the past 3 hours or so.... and i just cannot figure it out. I guess its just going to be said that i wont ever be able to know how to properly configure a box lol. For some reason i just cannot grasp the concept/doings of the box programs. So what i need from someone knowledge in the area of box making is, for someone to design a box for me. I havent taken the measurements as of yet, but when I do, i just want to know if someone will be able to help me lol. Here are my plans for the box. 2 15" RE XXX's. Ported. Hey ssa, I ordered some sa-10 's and should be here in a couple of days. I need some help on the enclosure. I have about 4 cubes to work with in the back of a 97 maxima. They will be on an ap30001@ 2ohm load. and im looking to hit killer lows and sounds good. Not gearing to much for any high numbers. Im thinking about changin out my whole system from the hu to the speakers wall to wall..lol i was thinking about going with 2 12's from re audio.now here the thing im new to the audio world what kind of amp can i use to push them or should i go with some icons 12's or 1 15 cause i love the way hit and on a hu there not many music shop around here so i would have to get it all off the net what would be a good hu something indash thats plays dvd/tv so my lil one can wacth his movies while we riding out..lol any tips hints lil pointers would be great ty.

so I have a Sundown Audio X-15 D4 15" Dual 4-Ohm 1250W RMS Subwooferand, and 2 CAB 1600.1 (Car Audio Bargain) - Rated 1600 watts RMS 1 ohm and I wanna strap both amps to this sub can it be possible.

Alright I am trying to get my Compustar to work in my 09 Challenger. I have everything working but the remote start. I am using an XpressKit Chall interface, which made pretty much everything cake until now. I still need to hook up 2 starter wires, accessory and ignition. The CHALL interface offers a (+) start wire, but because the alarm has a starter kill I need to split it on both sides, which I can't do with this. It also offers a (-) while running which is no good for the acc. And a (+ ignition). I have tried hooking up what I can, but no luck. If someone can help me it would be greatly appreciated... maybe one of you guys got a inside line to DEI to help me =).
