Has anybody used the Cascade stuff from PE? http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cf...tnumber=268-250 I am thinking about spraying the inside of my box with it. Just curious if it works well or if I should even use it? I would like to be 110% sure it is sealed and get rid of any resonances that might exist. What do you think?

I'm having a problem getting a straigh answer on whether or not i can install my two 12" kove subs into my 96 aurora. The problem is I have a factory bosse system with the factory cd changer. According to a few places I've called my subs cannot be added without a new cd player or getting rid of the speakers in the back. I think some of the places are just trying to make me buy a new cd player. I also don't see why I would have to get rid of the back two speakers to add two subs. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello all. I just finished up my fiberglass box today. I am posting a link to my gallery at ED's galleries. Can someone tell me how to post pics in the thread so I don't have to link to it. This box is about 1.8 or so cubic feet. I measured volume with packing peanuts. So it is not exact. Now I have to move onto my amp rack and then my doors. This fiberglassing thing aint too bad. kinda fun once you figure it out. Anywho, here is the link. Please let me know what you think and any comments. Thanks, Jim http://www.edesignaudio.com/gallery/showga...t=500&ppuser=52

I'm a lurker overe here. I'll read the board from time to time but never really post. Alot of familiar names around here though. Figured I'd post this over here as well to get some feedback. http://community.webshots.com/album/24687221wpDWUOwhuS All comments are welcome; good, bad, or otherwise. I finally got most of the install done in preparation for the SI.Net Midsouth Meet. Only thing left now is to build a stealth cover for the 8W7, build some underdash padding, and get a dashmat. Most of this stuff was in the car before (front stage, amps), but I swapped the amps around giving my front components 125wpc and knocking the sub down to 300w since the 8W7 didn't need t…

JUst curious man, Rockford use to be the Goto company for me, now it seems as if they have been conversing with best buys pres. or something to sale crap.... The last RF sub i bought was last years model, it said it could handle 900 rms right, so i got my jbl 1200.1, had the gains down, but had it so it could play a lil bit, after about 3 days i was back at BB asking for another sub, gotta love there warranty policy...HAHAHAHA, That could be a thing to do buy a whole lot of BB subs, get the warrant, goto comps burp the subs at whateva ya wanted, then take them all back hahaha... But i really dont know ABout RF any more, their stuff looks nice, but i have not really heard …

I have heard many a system, and honestly...no system I have EVER heard sounds "bad" every system does sound different though. I have taken a TON of subs and probably gone through 12 boxes in my hatch. None of them sounded remotely bad. So, I have started to just ignore SQ, the only time I have heard a system that wasnt up to par, it was a box issue. I'll be making the ultimate test here soon. I will be doing a setup with a dB drive platinum 15, everyone I talk to says they have very low SQ. So, I'm going to throw 2000 daily to one in a good box, and SQ to a rest. -Alex

.............. I don't have that much $$$ flow right now and my current setup of 2 JL 10"s just aren't doing the trick. I was offered a box that holds two 12"s but I don't know the dimensions of the box (it was in an 88 Camaro) ........ I was wondering what would be a cheap way for me to get by with some good sounds........... I was thinking maybe 2 Rockford HX2's and some somewhat cheap amp............ any help/recommendations would be largely appreciated........ Thanks, Jonathan Idk...... maybe some Audiobahn's or something......... I'm up for any info or recommendation........ Thanks …

I wasn't going to but the stock speakers have horrible cone breakup and it's driving me absolutley nuts. So I might aswell. The system has to be simple and mostly from items I already have. Space is a consideration since the vans main purpose is work (lots of tools supplies etc in the back). The Vehicle is a 1997 AWD Astro Cargo Van. 2 seats and the rest is wide open (1 parts shelf a foot or so back from the drivers seat all the way to the back doors). I'll use an RFX-8240 for source. (Maybe I'll fashion a feaux 'stock deck' face.) I have a set of old MB Quart separates 6.5" QM 160TC mids 1" QM 19HC Titanium tweets with Passive crossovers. Figure stock (door) locations …

how much would you guys pay for a billet alluminum subwoofer grill to fit your sub no matter the size or shape it is.... i can have them made but there a little pricey, so im trying to get an idea on who would pay to have them... im going have a few made plus if someone wanted something else on the grill i can make it for a little more, so it would be one of a kind.... remember this is billet aluminum not no cheap plastic so the price of the aluminum and the cost of useing a C-N-C machine is not cheap, but if i have a few orders i can get the price down... jamie
