Ok heres the deal Im trying to figure out the best way to do this so everything is compatible. First, I will be installing 2 shallow mount earthquake sws 8" subs under the front seats in a bmw 5 series which will be replacing the factory subs and one dcon 10" in the trunk. The earthquake subs will be run as a sort of midrange/sub and can only handle about 150rms. The dcon is good for 300rms. My questions are: What impedences should I get for the subs? Dcon 10 and earthquake? What amp would be best? 3 or 4 channel? 4 channel run in 3 channel mode? Any recommendations on amp? Maybe a link or advise on how to wire it up? '

Hi guys, new here but been running Sq for a while. I currently have an Sq 3.0 12" and a Sq mono 1200w amp. I'm about to purchase a twin amp and hook them together. My sub is 1 ohm. They way I understood it that running both amps in parallel would keep it a 1 ohm load from both amps. I would like to see a wire diagram on were to run the speaker wire from each amp plz and thank you.

Anything wrong with doing so? For example, 8 16ohm mids for a 2ohm load vs 6 16ohm mids and 1 8ohm, also for a 2ohm load?

I have 2 subs and one 4 channel amp. my question is how do i wire them? i have everything connected however im confused as to how i should wire the subs to the amp. do i put them as front or back? also i dont know if i should plug the RCA cables into the front or back. i tried messing around with different options and i get mixed results. for some reason whether the subs are wired to the front of back it doesnt matter where the RCA cables are plugged in. now heres the problem, only one of the subs seem to be working. the other one will barely work but just sounds muffled. when the one that does…

I am looking into purchasing a 15" DC level 4 XL or AA Mayhem. If I choose the DC, I have two wiring options. I have a 2400 watt amp at 1 ohm and 1700 at 2 ohms. How much difference does wiring a sub at 2 ohms make vs wiring it at 1 ohm? Would 1700 watts at 2 ohms be enough to get the DC going or should I just stick to 1 ohm?

I will be running a sundown 1500 and a 2 channel (not sure which one yet) off a stock alternator and a powermaster d1200. I already have 4 gauge ran from a previous instal with 80a inline fuse. 1) Can I just leave the existing 4 gauge and use that for the 2 channel and just run an additional fused 1/0 for the Sundown or is there an easier way to go about this? 2)Is it ok to run two fused power wires off the same battery? 3) If I have to get a distribution block, which one should I get? I heard Knukonceptz' are hard to work with. I already have a kicker 1/0 kit on the way but I don't think the distribution block in the kit will fit my needs. Thanks guys

I am wiring up a 2011 mazda 3 wiring harness, and I have a wire harness that came with my Pioneer 3200bt and then I have the wire harness that is for my mazda 3, all of the colors matchup, except I am confused by a few things. 1. I have a ground with a metal "C" looking end on the 3200bt wire harness then on my mazda 3 wire harness I have a black wire on it as well that is ground too, what do I need to do with both grounds? I will be using a 12V relay if this helps at all, but still not sure how to hook both grounds up 2. On the 3200bt wire harness I have a wire that says "Reverse Gear Signal Input" but I don't have a purple wire on the mazda harness that goes to it, is t…

I am going to be building a box for my 12" ssa Icon in a month or two and I couldn't stand not having a sub in my car so I bought two 12" DVC Memphis PR's (250 rms each) and the box that they're in was built so the subs could have there own chambers so it has two ports (a port on the left side and a port on the right side) and it has two cup terminals (1 per sub). I have a mono block amp and I have two positives and two negatives running off my amp (1 pos. and 1 neg to each sub). I am not sure how the subs are wired inside the box so I don't know if they're parallel or series. I have a Cadence ZRS-8 which puts out 1500rms @ 1 ohm and 750 @ 2 ohm and 250 @ 4 ohm. So my …

Hi guys, within the next couple weeks I'll be getting my new amp that is a mono with only 1 set of speaker inputs (1 + and 1-). I have 2 speakers. Any ideas on how to mate the wires with the amp? My thought was to just get a couple of distro blocks instead of cramming wires into the amp. Thanks For all you info freaks I will be wiring it this way: (4 ohm-----4 ohm) (4 ohm----4 ohm) (2 ohm) (2 ohm) (1 ohm) Another p…

Some background: I have always been a Sundown audio and FI audio fan and those are the products I use. I purchased a 12" BL fully loaded and 1500D sundown to place in my 240sx, I have now upgraded to a 04 Acura TL. I cannot afford a new headunit as the products available are close to one thousand dollars. So, the box is built, the sub is ready, the wiring kit is sitting waiting to be installed. Now where im stuck, So, since i have the stock headunit I will need a line output converter. I am unsure how to install this and how it works. Also I am needing to disable the stock subwoofer. I have been reading about how the stock headunit lowers bass at higher volumes to protect…

Sorry about this really really , noobish question but i was doing research and couldn't find this answer out myself. Materials : AMP- http://www.shopping.com/xPO-Pyramid-PB448 (worst amp in life, but its all i have laying around , until my other one ships in mail. SUB - Fi SSD 15 DVC 2 ohm. Is it possible to wire up the left REAR channel of the amp to one voice coil and the other voice coil to the right REAR channel of the amp to get the 250rms per channel @ 4 ohm. to equal 500rms. or since the amp is brigdable , wire both voice coils together and bridge them into one channel? (AMP is not 1 ohm stable , so i'd need to wire them for 4 ohm.) Thanks i just wanted to a…

Struggling to get my head round this. I've got 1 battery up front. Then I've got/will have 6-8hawkers in the footwells. Most likely to be 2 behind drivers seat, 2 behind passenger seat and 2 in the front footwell. I'll only be using the hawkers when showing off or at shows. I've got two sundown saz-3500s & ATM 1 phd 2200. Cable wise I've got 25-30m of 50mm2 & a 5m run of 150mm2. What is going to be the best way of wiring this up? Also how would you fuse it? That's going to be a lot of fuses if I put one inbetween each battery. Anyone used these. http://www.blueheronmarine.com/files/BlueSea_2009_Fuses.pdf
